It depends on how tall your tent is. A general rule of thumb is to flip when your plants are half of that. Happy growing

From my research I’ve found most growers aim to begin flowering their plants around 36”. Of course it depends on the size tent you have. But flowering it at 36” will allow it to double to 72” giving you a 3ft tall plant. See you have a lot of plants in there and I may worry about overcrowding the tent and not getting as much light to the plants. But if you feel about half the tent is made up of leaf canopy then you could flip to flowering.

It seems like my plants almost triple in size. Last run i had grew into the lights and was a problem. Ended up with some great smoke though.

Seems like the front left plant is a little smaller. The others look bigger and about where i usually flip it. Unfortunately there is no one size fits all answer.

But, if im under the assumption that you are a newer grower. Then I’d try and grow smaller plants on the first run. Bigger plants require training and higher nutrition that could cause issues if you are not used to it. If your looking for the challenge let it grow out a little more.

Idk what strains your running but I’m assuming you likely got some sativa babies I’ve noticed sativa usually triple in size while indicas will like double. Of course like you said it’s different with every strain. But usually I notice taller plants if it’s sativa, ya know farther intermodal spacing, more like goofball nugs along the branch. It’s so cool that these plants can be so diverse.

Also on another note If that’s a consistent issue (which is a great problem to have, too much or fast if growth) then you could top the plant a second time at the end of all branches when a week or 2 before planning to flip to flower to help keep the canopy lower. Helping with keeping the height in check more easily. If your interested in it I’d watch a video called super topping on YouTube. You might get some pretty good results and some fatter plants.

I actually grow indica dominant plants. But, you are correct though about the sativa plants. Normally taller, thinner and longer inter-nodes.

I really believe most of the growth im getting is from the lack of training, and unlimited water in the auto-pot system im running. Training wise i basically only top and lollipop. On my last run i had to scrog and supper crop to stop it from getting taller. I get good results and decent yields. One of these runs i need to put some fucus on training better. Not be so lazy per usual.

That sounds amazing, how are the autopsy’s as a user in your grow system. Like for nutrients, over watering, under watering, pot size, etc. I’ve been looking into something like that or trying to figure out a drip system which just seems like a headache to figure out. But am thinking of trying the auto water bases.

Getting some type of auto watering system is game changing. The ease and peace of mind is worth it. Now, which system to buy can differ alot depending on how you grow or want to grow.

2x4 tents. Tryna get some like 2-3ft tall plants. And probably try to make or use an preammended soil so I don’t have to feed. Was thinking of trying an autoflower, what do you think of that?
