Hey growers, I’m wondering if I should start introducing LST to my plant. It’s in a recovery phase and it’s been growing very well into its 3rd week of veg. The stem looks pretty thick but I’m not too sure still. I was also thinking probably transplanting her into a bigger pot and bury the stem more. What do y’all think?
Looking good, although a little stretched. Wait til you have about 4 sets of nodes to start LST, looks like you’re nearly there.
I’d be very careful of that stem though if i were you, can it support the plant without the stick to support it? If not it looks like it could snap easily enough. Burying it could definitely help!
Hello, if you transplant it into a large pot and bury it almost to the very leaves, it will be much better and it should take root. But do it very carefully, do not break it. А тренировать его еще рано.
520grower This is my personal opinion, I would leave this sprout just for training, for experience. For a good result, it is better to plant a new seed in good light and pay more attention to it. And this plant can be transplanted into a larger pot and when it takes root, fix the stem at the very ground and bend in the opposite direction. It is better to bend the plant before watering, when the ground dries, then the plant will become more flexible. The foliage looks healthy, and the stem needs to be rooted, it is long and thin. And the training, the bends are made after you transplant it into the main pot and it will take root there.
Thank you for your advice Gunther! I’ll definitely wait a while, probably after I transplant it because the stick is supporting the plant from not falling over. I’ve tried to remove the stick but the plant leans too far one way and I’m afraid that the stem will snap if it’s weighted to heavy on one side.
Awesome, thank you Sedrik777. After this week I’ll transplant it into a 5 gallon pot and bury the stem close to the first set of leaves it’s grown. When I transplant the plant should I start the training immediately or should I wait for the plant to settle in some more?
after the transplant wait for 3-4 days If it feels good then you can bend it
