Hi everyone. Hope all is well.
I started this king tut grow outdoors from a seed my father in law gave me YEARS ago that i stumbled upon and we’re little over a month in.
Are these tiny pistils a good sign its a female?
Thanks in advance for any help
Hello and hope your doing well also as for your question depending on where you live it could still be to early to tell but when i zoom in on pic it does look like the very beginning of flowering sites but if your in the usa east coast you wont be able to really know until around the end of july. With outdoor cannabis they can sense when the fall weather is coming and thats when they will switch to flower and try to reproduce before harsh weather comes and kills them off. But keep an eye on plant if you see little spade shaped bulb sacks with white hairs coming out its pretty much a female with some cases (not often) where it lied and was actually a male. But male bulb sacks will have no hairs and will start stacking up like a cluster of bananas on a tree. If still uncertain just continue to share pics daily of often and we will help ya out no problem
Hi thank you for your response. I’m located in the east coast . I think we won’t get close to 12/12 light/dark until sometime in September.
12/12 is mainly for indoor grows to trick the plant into fall time but with nature around August/sept we will get roughly 10 hours of darkness which is what cannabis plants actually need. The 12/12 is just to ensure plants stay in flowering but outdoors after summer solstice they very slowly start to switch but not noticeable until August roughly. Basically like animals that hibernate for the winter they sense it coming and prepare for it. Its the same with outdoor plants they know when the time is near. Im also on the north east coast
A lot of cultivars will flower with 14 hours of day and 10 hours of darkness. Smokey101 is correct 12/12 is used for indoor grows
Ah gotya. Thanks for that info
Great to know !
Did not know that.
Was under the impression it strictly took 12/12 for non-autos to start flowering regardless of indoor or out.
Ill keep updating this forum with progress on it every week
No problem at all and happy to help anytime ya may need it bud. Also looking forward to future updates
