Silica Gel Packets - Desiccant. For curing in glass mason jars

Does anyone use silica gel packs (also called desiccant packs) for curing their bud in glass jars? I’m not talking about the drying process, although I guess that’s a legitimate question, but rather the storing in jars. I’m worried the relative humidity might be too high AND I worry that despite my best efforts at drying, the bud might still have moisture when put in the jars and that could lead to mold. Here’s a link to some super cheap ones.

I tried to research this. Opinions are all over the place. There were concerns that the desiccant packs could dry the weed too much. I’m also concerned about whether or not the packs are “food safe”. If you look at the Amazon link, they mention using them for spices at the top, but then they basically just speak about electronics and clothing and never mention spices or food again.

There are also things called Boveda packs, which are considerably more expensive.
Thoughts?

Don’t use silica mate, they pull all moisture out the air. Bovedas are purpose-designed for cannabis, and keep levels at either 58 or 62% which is where you want it to be.

I personally use Grove bags…no need for anything else after a proper cure.

Grove bags are between 40 cents and 3.50 each, I use them and would recommend them. Zero maintenance curing
