Looking for great soil combos for a just add water grow. I was thinking of using fox farm ocean forest top 1/3 and brut super soil for bottom 2/3. Going to be having fusion surgery on my neck nov4th so looking to keep it easy.
Any other good cheap just add water mixes? Looking to grow autos in a 3gal planter
My current grow is bottom 1/3 to 1/2 brut super soil and top fox farm, I did one plant all brut to see what happened and it was too hot for seedling although it finished strong still smaller of the three… my next grow will be at least 1/2 of brut maybe 2/3 then topped with fox… only used water and no extra nutes added
Depending where you’re located Black Swallows in Ontario offers a water only soil mix. If not what you’ve listed I think should work out pretty well

Thanks, my soil should be delivered the 4th… the day I have surgery… when I’m recovered enough I will start my next grow and update in here
With the brut soil. Did you need to add perlite?
Not sure if I needed too, but I did not add anything… the one pot I did of all brut I should have added some to lighten up the soil as it gets a little compacted and water can run off if not careful when watering… the ones with fox on top layer did just great…
I’m thinking bottom 2/3 brut and ff mixed to lighten it and top 1/3 fox farm… any suggestions
Perlite/pumice I think is a must have in any soil just to help compaction and drainage
