Hello everyone! The day got away from me so better late than never lol! Today will mark the beginning of the sign up for the solo cup challenge! Sign up start today and will end october 31. I figure that gives everyone plenty of time to get signed up and a plan set before the challenge starts.

RULES

  1. Photoperiod plants only
  2. No clones, must be started from seed
  3. MUST remain in a solo cup the entire duration of challenge
  4. Plants need to be dry weighed by March 31
    (Just about 20 weeks which is plenty of time to grow and dry a full cycle)

I feel those are the musts, if anyone has any other rules they’d like to add we can chat it over. As far as growing methods, I feel that is pretty open to the grower. What ever medium, nutrient, lighting, etc you want to use is fair game. Any type of training is acceptable as well. I’m kind of torn on not including hydro just because they will have the unfair advantage of not becoming root bound. Let me know what you guys think about this

PRIZES
Depending on the amount of donations we can have a 1,2,3 prize level. I will be donating 10 seeds of my own strain. If anyone else would like to donate please get in touch and we can update the prize list as that builds.

Very excited to see what we can do as a community for this challenge! Looking forward to this, let’s have some fun out here and as always happy growing!

Nice 1@SoulOurGarden, about time, takes you to get back and get it up and going well I’m delighted for a bit of fun, if like to sign up, and I agree with your point on the hydro, unfair advantages, but just great to try this out, cheers for beginning one pal :beers:

My tent it´s gonna be full for a 1-2 months now :-/

Yes today you can pop a seed and get started. It’s free to compete so why not try lol

Yeah, I’m not in on this one, as I have surgery soon and I don’t have what I need for solo cup grow,but I’m definitely going on in the next one.

I can’t find any seeds ATM either locally that don’t come in like 50 packs

I’m new to growing and I haven’t purchased any seeds yet I’m just using a bag seed so I don’t know what strain it is, but it looks good so far. Its about 3-4" tall.

Does that mean if i can find a solo cup can i pop a seed in and join @SoulOurGarden is just i couldn’t find a solo cup anywhere lol, but if it’s not a problem, plenty of beans, and wanted to join, no problem if i can’t, I’ll keep growing lol, and best of luck to All who take part
