This is my first time ever growing anything at all. I have a moby dick and godfather og both fem. I am using a 600w hps light with a homemade hydroponic system have a ph of about 6.0. The room temps is around 85 degrees Fahrenheit water temp about 70 degrees. Humidity is around 50% and it’s been about two weeks and they are not looking good at all. Any suggestions would help thanks.
Welcome @380 , happy growing. Humidity needs to be higher for a seedling. If you don’t have one in the environment add a humidifier. Also don’t forget to have a fan to move air, just don’t have blowing directly on the seedlings, they’re too small for that now. See chart below;
Thanks a lot I will differently get the humidity up to at least 75%. How long do you think it might take to see a response from them if that is the problem? Thanks
If that is the issue, a day or two of the right environment and you’ll see a difference.
@Guigrow you are the hydro guy, got any other advice for 380?
What’s up guys. I’ll share what I’ve been doing. Hopefully this will help you find a solution to your problems.
Is that a constant water feed above the plant. If so, you’re going to want to stop that. With my seedlings I keep them in a dome until the roots are popping from the root riot cubs. The water under your pots will keep the root environment close to 100% humidity, twice a day I’d top feed. Some people have this set on a timer. Constant water at this stage will drown the plant. I also keep humidity above 90% until they go into the grow room. Keep you VPD between .93 and 1.10 until flower. (Example 77F and 70Rh is about .95VPD)
Ph to 5.8 and keep your nutrients low during seedling stage around 80-150 ppm most tap water is already there. Keeping your water O2 saturated is also very important if you’re not using a chiller to keep water temps between 67-70 degrees F then you’ll want to use 35% H202 and UC Roots or Hydro guard. But don’t use H202 with hydro guard.
Also more information on how your system is set up would help me provide more accurate information. I run a 110 gallon water fall RDWC system.
Hope this helps. Also it should only take at most 3days to see improvements in the girls when the right adjustments are made.
