We just recived our fist netting. Any tips for setting it up? Certain highth, do we set it up now or in flower, tuck branches now? Just want to get it setup properly.
Heres the setup as of now. Plant is 13 inches from the soil and is about 12.5 inches away from the light.
You want it low enough you have to tuck the tops down to spread out the bud sites. I like to get mine as low as I can to move the lower branching around to a better position then if it’s to to low for the tops to bend under the trellis I will super crop the tops down to lay on top of the trellis.
So should we go as low as where we topped them, or higher?
Really you should only go as far as your comfortable with, but I try to get down as low as I can to force everything to move where I want it. I can’t really give you an exact height as I go by the plant and how far I think I can move them before they snap. I’m pretty rough on mine when I install my bottom trellis. I normally use 2, the first mashes everything down and spreads it out to even the canopy and the 2nd I use for support.
Can you still trim the plant once installed or does it stay under the net till harvest?
Yeah I still get in there and trim/defoliate. You will need to keep adjusting the plants until you fill your space wall to wall.
