What kinda substrate is that?

For water retention and climate handling capabilities, we make our very own mixture (for vegetative and flowering states), but this one is straight up PH neutral silver sand.

They are starting to come along nicely, opening up for the cotyledons to sprout, day #3 for all of them.

Nice technique.
I know this from my bonsai seed cultivations.

The larger tree seeds are possibly sanded down a bit and then placed in a bag with moist sand in the refrigerator. (Cold stimulus for germination)
And they germinate there undisturbed in the sand until they are repotted.

We use the water cup technique and the germination box technique after it, for ensured germination, **thought of using hydrogen peroxide for even more controlled and guaranteed to sprout results, since cannabis is illegal here and there are no seed banks to buy from, these are all baggie seeds, but in the end we didnt use it**.

Top row and bottom right are 7d old to this day, and the one in bottom left was just transplanted now, i gave them all a mix of Blood+Bone+Fish meal today, lets see how they turn out to be, hoping for the bottom right plant to turn into a male just so we can breed out some seeds for further usage. And ofc, breed those seeds even further.

Transplanted the seedlings in a 15gal grow bag, as they reach near the start of their vegetative state, also introduced in the substrate is epsom salt, powdered egg shells, neem cake, a mix of 20-20-20 (N-P-K), a mix of Fish-Blood-Bone meal, and sulphur (80% pure), and mashed it all in there, and placed it below half the length of the grow bag so it doesnt start consuming those straight away, but waits until its roots are well spread out and then it will pick up the food source.

The other one we germinated, and placed directly in the 15gal bag, to see how much of a negative effect transplanting does on its growth, and how much difference there is after a month for example, if one seedling is planted in a cup and another in this 15gal bag, we wanna see in the long run whose root system would be more refined and spread out and how that effect will affect the plant itself.
