Thanks to all the help you fine folks gave me on my last request.
I now have two healthy looking plants and one less so
These are Royal Runtz autos grown indoors in an 80 x 80 tent under 240w Pure LED
I started on an 18/6 light schedule but switched to 24hr light after reading a bit and mistakenly misreading my timer. Anyway that’s done now, i’ve switched back to 18/6 today (good idea or bad or doesn’t really matter?)
Firstly, on the two healthy looking plants (last 4 pics) I think their growth has actually been stunted height wise a little by a slow start. They are short, but look good (i’m about 4 weeks in since I started germination)…perhaps i’m misreading and they are doing fine?
My third plant looks sad (first pic) Crinkled, curled down leaves with a pronounced brown spot on one leaf. Anything I can do for this?
For the other two, i read that starting LST as soon as possible in Veg state is best. But, they are a little short and bending the main stem over doesn’t really seem to do anything. Best to wait until they’re a little taller?
Nice work. Looks like a touch of phosphorus deficiency on that leaf. Time to start feeding if you haven’t started yet.
As for training, you can start around 5 nodes ie. when you have 5 nodes of growth you can start bending and tying etc.
Maybe give it a couple dcays and start then. You want to make sure the stems are bendy, if you leave it too long they will turn woody and snap when you try to bend them. But any time in the next few days you should be good. Tons of guides out there if you need one just shout.
What is the Ph of the your water that you are feeding the plant with. I had a bad meter when I start growing here, it worked last time I had used… I was way out range and I would get that follow by nutrient burn trying to fix it.
It seems a bit young to have a phosphorus issues, it is still is too small to consume much but I don’t know enough about what you’ve done up to now. Tell about the soil and what you’ve been feeding it, not a auto person but that will help.
To be honest I don’t know the PH of the water. The water here ia quite hard, but has a filter system.
My PH meter is actually arriving in the post tomorrow along with some Cal-Mag and Fish Mix.
I may have started adding nutes a little late, as I was nervous about going in to early. But since then they’ve had some BioBizz Bio-Grow- 2ml per litre. And that’s all. Next watering I was going to start adding some Bio-Bloom and Fish Mix and possibly Cal-Mag, after advice on here.
When you want to start your initial lst wait until the plants are thirsty. The stems become a lot more pliable and less likely to snap when bending. Watering and feeding straight after training sessions helps with stress recovery too
That should be fine. I don’t have any run off so it’s not something I track. Bottom feeding with wicks, but I digress. I keep mine between 5.5 and 6.
They were shocked from something so keep good notes for yourself in case it shows up again. Auto are not as forgiving as photo’s, you can’t just give them time to recover.
