Too much heat?

So today I noticed some light ¿burning? On the tip of some of the leaves on some plants. I looked it up and it seems like it might be light burn so I moved up the lights I’ve also noticed that some leaves are kinda twisting up and making them tear. I think It might be from the heat in my tent. I have a hygro-thermometer right at the canopy and it says 77 but the over all temp in the tent is around 80 mostly. Should I drop the tent heat a bit?

how’s your fresh air coming in? if it’s just opening, I suggest putting a fan to help .

I have a fan a little fan in there. I also have the bottom air port thing open. I didn’t get an exhaust fan cause didn’t think I’d need it this soon but thinking I made a mistake passing on it. Might have to wait till next pay day to snag that. Anything I could do to help Olin the meantime?

ok, so it’s clear … you need one ou system out for warm air, it’s very important … if you don’t have problems with smell or noise you don’t need to put a carbon filter or a silencer, but the extraction fan is essential… after you can use one controler that stop your fan when the temperature is ok… there are some fans that already have a humidity and temperature controller, but they are more expensive…

Try to add another fan, also if you can drop the temperature just a little bit it will help.

This is a mistake yes but it’s good you caught it. Depending on your budget, AC Infinity has some spectacular automated systems. The T4 is great for a small grow tent, and comes with a thermostat.

Air intake is less of an issue than exhaust. Feel free to reach out for an example of how to set it up, but you want that puppy right above your lights. You want to pick a fan the right size for your room size - much like an AC only works for a specific square footage. I got a T4 in a 4x2x5 Vivosun tent.

When you turn it on, you want the sides of the tent to kind of “cave in” which shows a negative pressure differential. Fancy way of saying all air is getting sucked out of the tent and replaced – slower than the air you bring in. It’s the best way to remove “hot pockets” or “humidity zones” .

ALSO one other question is how close the lights are to your lil guys. You don’t want it too close!
