Trichome help! Stem amber but head milky?

Hi! I’m getting super close to my first harvest. When looking at my trichomes, I’ve noticed that several have the “stem” amber but the “heads” are still milky. Do I count these toward percentage amber or do just the heads count?

I’m wanting to harvest with 10-20% amber because I want a mixed high but not sure if those count or not.

Pics are always helpful.

A shot of the trichomes from each of my 3 plants. You can kinda see it in the first pic. Hard to capture with my camera.

Thanks. I’m seeing all cloudy but hard to tell from those pics. Are you able to zoom in anymore? Also try to look at the buds and not the sugar leafs.

Theyre all cloudy, some strains will turn at the last minute. When you say close, are you a week, two weeks, 3 weeks? Close is a very loose statement. Also you dont want to be looking at the trichomes on the leaves, only the calyxes on the buds itself.

Thanks guys!

As close as i can get with my camera. I have a jewelers loupe that i can see closer but hard to get my camera to focus on the tiny lens.

Yeah, all the heads are cloudy but some of the stem parts of the trichomes are amber. Like the pic below (not my pic, google lol)

And close to harvest I mean probably within a few days to max a week? I think I could harvest now if I wanted but want a little more amber. I’m at about 9.5 weeks since I switched the lights. No idea strain or anything.

That is a clear top on the one in the middle. I’d say wait until you have about 10% amber trichome tops.

That color is just the pistil, the gland is wrapped around. Stop looking and wait another week then check. Shes still clear

That close up picture is not my plants. Mine have cloudy heads I was just trying to show an example of how the stems are amber. I have a few but not many amber heads.

Hi @Greenhousegrow, tout trics are not even close to giving you Cbd kind of smoke but there all clear, you might have a couple turning cloudy to milky, then you got to wait longer for 15 to 30 %, Amber heads on your trics annoy Amber stems of the tricones, little patience is just in growing :+1:
