I’m looking for info on when to harvest. The tricomes are about 30 to 40% on the very top of the buds but the lower buds are not showing any amber. I have watched videos and read and nobody states if you need to wait until the lower buds start to show amber tricomes.
I’m a little confused about what to expect for the best results.
First thing is to make sure your not checking the trichomes on the leaves. The leaves will always start to amber first before the actual buds and the top will start to amber before the bottom. What I like to do is make sure all the trichomes on the bottom have turned cloudy they don’t necessarily have to be amber. If they are clear some people like to harvest what has been ripened already and leave the rest on the stalk to keep going until it’s at the preferred amber trichome level . I don’t do it this way because I like to whole plant hang. So I usually just make sure the bottoms are cloudy and have some amber because the tops will always have more amber
Thank you for responding and providing a clearer explanation of what to look for at harvest time.
I’m like many new growers. Excited and anxious to partake in the fruits of our labor.
I again thank you for responding and your gift of knowledge.
