Hi, I have 2 questions. One is about the discolorations/spots that one of the autoflowers has; yesterday I gave them a plain water watering (which was due to avoid excess salts). The other is that I have the light at 60cm from
The serrations are only slightly pointing upwards, but on the leaves, you can already see that the color is changing.
I would dim the lamp a bit if that’s possible. Try going down to 180 watts and then move it a bit closer to the plants. 40 - 45 cm should work then, so the light will penetrate further down.
Okay, I’ll do just that, I’ll wait a couple of hours to see if they change. I didn’t know if I should move them further away. Thanks.
I lowered them to 50cm from the tallest central apices and it’s at 75%. I will wait to see results in a few hours. As for the spot, do you have any idea what it could be? The light?
The leaves generally give me a drooping impression.
They are in flowering. Slightly upward-pointing leaf serrations are actually normal there.
Now, the pot size, watering amount, and watering schedule are unknown.
It could be that the soil is too wet or too dry.
Poke a hole three cm deep with your finger and feel if it’s dry or very wet. Then act accordingly. That would be the first thing that comes to mind, and you can already bring the lamp distance down to 40 - 45 cm. 60 cm was already too far away. Regards from Paule
Hello friend, nice to greet you and be part of the help you need![]()

, it seems to me that it has transpiration stress: - VPD (it’s usually normal, yes! but it shouldn’t be…. Maybe a fan blowing between the panel and the canopy of each one could be the solution, it doesn’t hurt to try…. that’s why the leaves are sad, droopy, and serrated at the tips… I’ve seen it in my grow and it’s entirely due to the relative humidity in the environment or (VPD) which is kept in check with certain regulators and thermometers… that would be more pro grows where pure Co2 and VPD control are used, they need between 55-45 in the flowering stage but my experience speaks and it’s more about the grower’s eye and genetics, no plant is the same as another, they all respond differently….try to raise the humidity or you can raise the LED but maybe it won’t help much with the bud fattening
it’s better to try to raise the relative humidity or VPD, do you have numbers? with that we can help you better, it might be.. a pleasure and I hope to be of help, fellow grower ![]()

And regarding the color, the lemon color is completely normal; it’s due to the new apex in growth, and it could be a little more nitrogen, but not too much in
hello, thank you very much for answering friend, yes, I think it’s related to VPD, as the tips are very, very serrated upwards, although, even so, the buds and pistils have continued to grow and are healthy, thanks to you I realized that having the fan blowing between the panel can be a very bad idea, thanks to you making me see it, I just lowered it, that’s the first thing, I just read your message so I just did it, I’ll wait to see if it gives any result, I say this because right now the “serrations” or “sawteeth” are exaggeratedly pronounced.
I don’t want to raise the humidity because it’s winter and where I live there’s already a lot of humidity, I’m always above 50%, except now, because of the plain water irrigation, it’s above 60%, the soil is still wet on top but I needed to do a salt flush, another problem is that I didn’t plan when to do the plain water irrigation during my waterings, and I did it right at the end of stretching, which is when they stop consuming so much water, now it’s been 48 hours and the substrate is still soaked… if the girls don’t drink, the environment doesn’t help with water evaporation, and I imagine they lack oxygen or something like that, I also already changed the fan’s position, turning it off is not an option because I have quite a lot of humidity and too many plants per m2, the risk of mold or fungi is very high so if it’s for that reason, they’ll have to get used to it, the fan is one that rotates so it doesn’t blow on them continuously either.
Hey fellow grower, how are you, and what a pleasure to always be useful in this beautiful world ![]()
.. and what a crazy and beautiful “green of sea” you have there
