thats one problem I face, no floor space. I will figure it out. I wanted an automated feeder that I could use my fox farm nutes in. I almost went with autopot, this was 70 bucks with the upgraded bag with eyelets and straps on the bottom. They sent me a cool steamroller bowl with my order.

Looks similar to a earth box setup. Should work good. You’ll want to top water though till the plant is big enough to have roots down at the bottom.

It took three tries but, Octopots for the win. I was tugging at the top too hard when packing the sides.

I talked to the owner, Chris, on the phone. That’s right, the GUY, and he told me to plant directly into the Octopot.

Here is the Euphoria sprout about to make her way into the Octopot.
I almost did it last night, but the soil had just come from my garage and was cold.

I’m very interested in getting these next year. What’s the difference between these, autopots, and whatever else is out there?

I found these because I wanted to use organic and synthetic nutes. Autopots recommend I change to all synthetic. No thank you.

Also, it’s soil and hydroponics.

What I like about them is Octopots encourage root growth into the reservoir, and the autofill is gravity fed, no electricity required. The other systems need to block roots from going into the reservoir because they’ll clog up the pump. Not a problem with Octopots, I love seeing my roots waving in the reservoir sucking up those nutes. The plant grows 2x its normal size in Octopots. I’ve only been growing for 2 years, the grows I’m doing in Octopots would have you believe I actually know what I’m doing!

What types of pots and add ons did you guys get? Might pull the trigger if they have a Black Friday sale

I want to get the rocket sleeve with 8 eyelets for lst. I got the regular size sleeve with 8 eyelets and straps on the bottom for better root development. Ask questions to [email protected].

They have been answering my questions. I also got Chris the owner on the phone. He is a great guy.

Any input on the rocket vs strapped pots? What did you guys end up getting?

I have the strapped pot and its great. Friday I am going to buy the rocket pot.

After having a look at the whole system I would have to go with the strapped pots to increase the root access down low, the grommet options aren’t really worth paying for if you own anything sharp and pointy though.

Also the auto fill would be great, it would make it run just like autopots

you are correct about the strapped sleeves, that was the big selling point.

I want rocket sleeves with a strapped bottom. I just emailed them about it.

put her through a little stress. Somehow she is recovering very quickly

I staked her down, lst. An hour later she was pointing back towards the light.

I think she found the reservoir with her roots. Super thick stems

You can use organics in the autopot. There are many people who do it including myself. Only issues you might run into with ANY of the auto watering wicking systems is that when doing it with dry ammendments the top is usually pretty dry. And wont break down ammendments well at all. You’ll want to cover the soil with something and add water/ moisture to the ammendments so they break down.
