Watering ? Help please

I am growing what I believe is a sativa ? It is in about 4 th week of flower , is ok but due to the extreme heat we had over last couple of months suffered a bit , and I think i probably was overwatering which added to the problem , I watering every other day using the finger in soil trick which seemed ok until I noticed leaves yellowing and many in lower middle totally brown and crunchy ,
I changed to flowering N PK levels in nutrients and have been watering less , things are better lower leaves are greener , still have many fan leaves yellowing but I think that’s more to do with flowering
I also have some lower leaves that are brown on edges and many of the rest of plant have brown leaf tips , I have a soil tester nw that says if soil is dry or wet and ph etc so have been taking a few readings around base of plant then taking an average but want to know if this is an acurate way of deciding when to water as haven’t watered for five days now and still saying wet ,I live in southern Spain in mountainous region and weather has been dry yet has cooled down for last week

Hi friend!
I had same problem few years back. It dependa on the composition of your soil and the amount of water also the frecuency. If you wet too much you can have fungus, like botrytis or worst. So i would recomend nailing some stick to the bottom of the pot and check if its coming out dry or wet.
U can water your plants every one or two days.
You can also add some trichoderma to the watering you make, so it will prevent bad fungus in case you water too much.
