Wedding Cake Auto (much time left?)

Hey everyone,

I would like to know approximately how much time is left before harvest. On the site where I bought the seeds they say it’s 8 weeks from seed to harvest. (She is 8 weeks old right now)

Here are a couple pictures, thanks for your help!

i can tell you it’s too early to do now. take a loop and check the trichomes on the bud. when they aren’t transparant white anymore thats the time to harvest

Okay, I’ll take a look! Thank you @DutchGrower420! :cowboy_hat_face:

I’m right with ya, I check twice a day. I’m mostly cloudy with some clear and some amber. I move to New York in a week and a half so she comes down Wednesday regardless. I have Jack Herer and Alaskan Purple to grow next. Had to practice on a mystery bag seed first before I mess with the legends.

I’ve took a look and yes, she is a bit late but it’s probably because of my small 300w led lamp
Good luck with your grows!

Thanks for your help @BashCrandicoot11 ! :cowboy_hat_face:

I did too! Our girls are a little harder to grow than house plants xD The feeling of growing the first one is crazy! :cowboy_hat_face:

Hello again!

Little update : I’ve managed to check the trychomes and on my biggest bud they are turning milky white but I don’t see any amber yet. Also, do you have advice on how I have to check it easily with the microscope? It’s so hard, it’s moving, it’s really hard to see…

Below is a picture of the microscope I just bought

And here is the gear I bought for post-harvest

It really is. I mean I tell my girls goodnight before I lay down and actually have my wife talk to them also lmao… maybe I’m weird asf but I’m just really passionate about it. Obviously for the end product but also becuz i think the plants themselves are beautiful!

That’s so true @bizzybone802016! I never thought I could like her that much! Before starting I was just like “Okay, it’s a plant” but she got a name when she still was a seed! I think we are both weird, I talk to her too, my mother does the same! She also get to hear some music every day (classical) and I enter this grow room a LOT, just to see her
I love to smoke, but harvest day will be hard… :pensive:

I mean you literally raise them and care for em… make sure they have food and water even. It’s almost like having a pet or a kid even lol. It is what it is I’ll be weird asf haha

Exactly! And yes, I’ll definitely stay weird too. :cowboy_hat_face:

Hey @Nitrous I have that exact same microscope and struggled just like you to get a clear view… you will get better as time goes on but if you really are struggling @209MIKE shared and good tip and that was to cut off a small piece of sugar leaf and place it on a table etc… hope this helps

Yeah that’s the same scope I’ve been using for the last couple grows! Won’t lie it can be tricky to use at first but I normally take a small sugar leaf from the top flowers and set it on a table and examine it and when I see amber on the sugar leaves then I start zooming in on the flowers themselves, best way I have found is with the scope in your steadier hand use your other hand to wrap the lower half of your hand around the bud and use your index finger to wrap around the scope to keep the flower and scope steady, takes a little practice but gets good clean views of the trichs! @Nitrous
