So I asked a friend to look at the trichomes and they are milky on the top buds.
How should I harvest? I have a small grow tent that I can use. Do I just cut buds and hang them upside down or place in a paper bag and put in a dark place?

Nice grow. How do you keep it from outgrowing the tent?
congrats on getting to harvest. for me the most important thing is to make sure the tent will be cool - aim for 60-65F if you can. Then make sure humidity is around 60% too. 60/60 is ideal.
Once you get that dialled you can just trim the big fan leaves and hang the whole plant in the tent. Or cut into branches, up to you. Have a lil fan on low pointed away from the plants, wait a long time, trim and jar.
love the wait a long time comment lol it really does seem like the longest time ever while drying
LoL Sounds good. So hang it make sure environment is right and wait.
Thanks I appreciate it ![]()
Typically, how long does it take to dry?
If you quick dry it, it could be dry in a few days, but then it will crumble and also be harsh to smoke.
In my opinion, a slow 2 week minimum or longer dry at 60F/60%RH is the way to go. Then the Minimum cure is 4 weeks. 3 weeks is just to soon, I stop testing it 3 weeks. 4 weeks and longer is when the terpene profile starts to rise to higher levels.
See, everything I “knew” about growing was WAY off. Thats why im so thankful for this community. If it wasnt for yall, we’d be growing oregano and have no clue!
Lmao might be some money in the spice business and i agree with community being a big help
I just made a huge mistake dried in three days at the top of my tent while running my light cycle for my other plants I hit a brick wall when three days later I had crumbly harvest. Tried to bring the moisture back I think it’s okay now but I can’t wait until my next harvest to do things differently
