When do I start flushing for harvest

Although I have looked this up online I am a bit confused and would like some advice from others with more experience, please.

My plants are in week 10 of flower. They are headband strain, the buds are not that big but that’s okay since this is my first time growing

There are 3 plants altogether. The first 4 pictures are of plant 1, the next 3 are of plant 2 and the last 3 are of the last one.

Thank you all for your help.

Wait until all of your trichomes are cloudy and you 1st begin to see the slightest bit of Amber… then flush. Wait a few days and harvest. Most people pick when they have 10 to 20% amber trichomes. When you flush you’re removing nutrients from the soil and you don’t really want to do that too soon.

I check the strain for recommended flowering times, give just water your last week or two. When I’m in that last 1-2 weeks I keep an eye on bud growth and tricomes. When the buds stop growing in size and pistels are about 60% or more dried it’s a good sign its close to harvest time. Then I check tricomes, I prefer 80% cloudy and depending on the strain sometimes no amber. For example “sativa’s” with uplifting terpenes I go 80% cloudy with the remaining tricomes clear. For an “indica” strain with sedative terpenes cloudy with some amber. When tricomes turn amber the cannabinoids are starting to degrade which will cause a slight decrease in terpenes and conversion of THC to CBN, causing more sedative effects. Hope that helps with your decision. The great thing about growing and harvesting your own is that you get to choose when that is for the effects you want. Good luck!
