Yellowing on leaves help please

My plant is finally starting to grow but I’m getting yellow spots starting to grow on the base of the leaves…please help…I have it on a 18/6 light schedule. I water everyday but just with a spray bottle(just a few sprays)

what kind of water are you using? tap? RO? If its distilled or RO then you need to add cal-mag and make sure the ph is around 6.0-6.5.

Looks like a calcium or magnesium deficiency to me, i had similar. Calmag will fix that if so.

Have you started with nutes yet?

Also what soil do you have?

Lastly, I wouldn-t spray every day, the soil needs to cycle from saturated to nearly dry. If it is constantly moist then you will get issues. Try watering every 2-3 days with a small amount of dialled in water.

I’m peeking behind the leaves to the soil, looks a little saturated, I might be wrong, I’m quite baked atm… (Remember to make holes at the bottom) I’d even poke a few on the sides if possible ( just little ones, not massive) this will help dry out the medium faster + oxygen for the roots

Anyway, I agree with @SJ1 :point_down:t2:

Spraying too much. especially when your area, suburb, source is considered as “hard water” can leave watermarks.
Spraying too much closes the stomata (pores) on the leaves, then the leaves can’t absorb CO2.

I used boxed soil so I had to add potassium and nitrogen because there wasn’t any in my soil. No Nutes yet because I thought it was too early. Also I’m just using just tap water. I thought it was a mag deficiency but I did a little research and it’s actually thrips. I thought I had gnats but the thrips were sucking the sap out of my leaves. Any recommendations on how to get rid of them of is just NEEM OIL hood?

I’m actually about to put it in a pot instead of the cup. But until I do I actually will poke holes in it. Thanks again for that advice.

I’m guessing, [by the look of the yellow spots] that you’re plant has “Aphids” - they suck out the sap & they like newer growth… Check underneath your leaves, that’s where they’ll hide…

  1. The easiest solution to these little pest are “dish washing” soap - Mix the soap & water in a spray bottle. Check throughout your plant if you see any Aphids & spray onto them directly. (Don’t spray the whole plant)

  2. You can certainly spray with neem oil… [remember to wear mask]

  3. You can use Diatomaceous Earth too.

I actually had to use my app for this one and it looks on point with its diagnosis.
