I didn’t mean the cellar but the tent, the good one. Or rather, both tents.
Hey Growlings
and there was a lot to do today, but the first look now after only the third day after the first solid fertilizer application of 100 gr. per pot.
The Jamaican is recovering, and its top leaves, though still slightly yellowish.
But they are turning green again and no longer hanging down like eagle claws.
Also, the top seems to be getting fatter, and the Cookies OG even reached 70 cm in height today, right on time for the bloom start. The net was due.
I gave the Jamaican two bends in the upper main stem today.
Low-stress training ![]()
Today they are 51 days old and Bloom Day 1. The Jamaican was 54.5 cm tall today.
A bit defoliated, just delicately, she stood like this before the interventions ![]()
and here you can clearly see that the upper leaves are nicely shaped again, which was not the case at all before the fertilizer application.

After the Cookies OG got a net, I temporarily brought the Jamaican to the same height by bending its upper stem.
I think I was very creative here
When watering today, each pot received 1.8 liters of water, a total of 5.4 L. The water contained 2.5 gr. Super Microbe Boost X, 20 ml molasses/Lab, 1.8 gr. Mykorrhiza Soluble, and 3 million SF Nematodes.
Then I saw with her
Roots escaping from the drain holes through the nylon. I’m not a fetishist
The root tips look fat and healthy.
A quick look at the Strawberry Kush, which always showed very slow growth, was 48 cm tall today.
small and beautifully bushy, here it was just a little defoliation.
But also with her
a root breakout. I got the info from the donor sometime that this strain was very problematic for him. It actually looks healthiest to me, apart from being small in stature. Now there was the next info from where the seed is that it hermied for him on Bloom Day 32.
So let’s see what happens. I don’t like such surprises at all.
The Strawberry is therefore starting the stretch as the smallest one for me at 48 cm.
I already mentioned the Cookie OG with very long legs.
and it was taller than I thought. Measured 70 cm today, and thanks to the net, I managed to get it down another 20 cm. For her clones, she already lost 20 cm of her tip, otherwise, she would be 90 cm today.
you can also see that it lacks nutrients, which is why all of them get 100 gr. Flo weekly, and it got better after the first application.
it doesn’t look beautiful right now, but this is the only way I can slow it down and guide its stretch with the net.
In the end, all three were pretty much at the same height, allowing me to perfectly set the lamps at a 45 cm distance. I then increased the dimmers from 55 to 65% and reached an average PPFD of 670 µmol/s/m², which should be enough for the start of bloom until the soil plays along better. Also, I started with a 45 cm distance to avoid readjusting the lamps every day, and as they grow closer, the PPFD will increase anyway.
Actually, I had rather expected them not to get this far due to the frequently used Livig Soil. But a gentle replenishment of Flo seems to give them a boost, and I’m excited after the next application.
Tomorrow it’s time to check the trichomes on the Bubble Gums, and either it’s harvest time - or they get more water.
I’m curious to see how the Cookies OG clones will take off once they are in the Dope Soil.
Everything is done for today, and now we wait to see what the next few days bring when the stretch begins. Have a nice evening and enjoy cultivating, wishes Pflanzenpaule
Hahaha @herr_gruen, then just say that.
He would have flooded the cellar with hydrogen peroxide afterwards ![]()
But believe me, our @KilliczGe has already thoroughly cleaned his tents there.
That’s actually how it all started, because it was meant to be a compliment from
AAAHHHHRRRRG…..I HATE THESE CRITTERS!!!
after the last infestation disinfected everything twice and they’re back again:exploding_head:![]()
![]()
Handle with caution @Growstarter40, but it’s worth a try. Better to risk something than lose everything. So, that’s just my opinion, maybe it helps you.
A colleague’s cousin sprays with it
once a week everything in his tent, including the plants, and says he has no problems with any kind of mold; even Bud Rot wouldn’t stand a chance. He says that even in the final stage of flowering he maintains 70% humidity, without problems. I haven’t really gotten around to researching it yet. It’s probably made from water, salt, and electricity. I need to look into it more closely. But I think it has a similar effect to hydrogen peroxide. Not really suitable for soil life.
Hello and I wish you all a wonderful Sunday.
Today was Bubble Gum’s day again. And what can I say?
They received water again today, 2.4 liters per pot, because the soil was terribly dried out. After checking the flowers, no brown rot is visible, and with around 40% humidity, there’s probably no cause for concern!
Only the desired ripeness is taking its time, and I’ve been thinking about it again. Today is Day 76, almost eleven full weeks.
The seeds were in the soil for 5 or 4 days until something was visible on top.
So, from the first sign of life, it would only be 71 days, and thus the eleventh week would have just started. Flowering time itself is the eighth week, and they would have another good week to 1.5 weeks. Now I’ve been watering with only plain water for almost 1.5 weeks. I actually stopped fertilizing a week too early. But I think, (since it’s) All Mix, there was still enough in it. But today I simply took some dormant Living Soil, mixed with some worm humus and earthworm castings from loamy soil, plus a teaspoon of guano. Loosened the top layer of soil and worked the soil mix on top. It was organic from the start anyway with microbes and so on, and that should provide some more nutrition for the last few days. ![]()
Then I had to pause because a good buddy dropped by. Hmm, we smoked a ‘Lockdown spliff’ and now I’m a bit tipsy and it seemed to me that it hit him pretty hard too. ![]()
Slowly, the ALL Mix problems are becoming clear to me too!
Poor water retention/storage and a massive mosquito problem in the 5th week.
I took a closer look at the bag today and it said “Peat free.”
There’s no peat in it, and there’s a lot to read about that in forums.
Another reason to dump the rest behind the house.
Meanwhile, I’ve figured out how to water this soil only in small increments. I do 400 ml every 10 minutes, which then takes an enormous amount of time for 2 to 3 liters of water per pot. And very quickly, the stuff is bone dry again.
I need to get 100 liters of peat to mix in, if soil without peat is the only option available.
Well, despite the circumstances and using Bio Bizz products for the very first time, it won’t be a massive harvest, but what comes should still be reasonable. ![]()
Today I just looked at the Bubble Gum 1 flowers without greatly magnifying the trichomes. There’s already a good amount of amber on the sugar leaves, clearly visible even without magnification. Many of the pistils themselves haven’t curled in yet, and some bright, fresh ones with fresh trichomes are visible. I’ll take that into account, as they are not yet at their peak ripeness.
And these colors again. So, Lady 2 also stays in the race

Slowly, the pre-rolled joints are coming to an end. And so today I went to the depot because after a good three months, it’s time to sample the last harvest. Also to test if there are noticeable differences between classic tent drying and drying in the Cannatrol, and which is better.
Approximately half of the Amnesia Pro dried in the tent for about 13 days and then went into a Grove Bag for curing, from which I took some today.
The other half was 4 days in Dry Mode and 4 days in Cure Mode and then went into a Grove Bag for further storage.
Test 1 Scent: I honestly can’t judge which one smells stronger.
With both, as I opened the Grove Bag, gradually, a strong citrus lime scent immediately rose to my nose. Brutally delicious.
Both are nice, firm buds.
Since I’m still a bit tipsy and a fat Gelato is still ready.
I’ll probably roll and taste it tomorrow.
So far, by scent, both are awesome. I also prepared some Jamaican, and there are beautiful crystals everywhere.
The large Grove Bags with their contents quickly went back to the depot. It would be a bit too much for me to leave in the apartment.
But now the tasting is coming up soon. What might have improved and if there’s any difference at all. Not by scent, for now. ![]()
And the journey of the Bubble Gums will last a few more days.
Pflanzenpaule wishes you a nice evening.
There are also organic things to spray that do not affect soil life.
Omya - Siva 50 - an insecticide, also preventive, to spray once a week.
Serenade Aso from Bayer can also be sprayed once a week to protect against late blight and other fungal molds.
Also Naturalis- L - spray once a week. Also a biological insecticide.
Without having to bring out the chemical big guns.
Partially just damn expensive. And not easy to find for purchase.
I’m still looking. Whoever gets their hands on it.
Do not combine all, but use each product on a different day of the week.
There are still some softer substances to get along well without chemicals.
@Growstarter40
try predatory mites because then you have no poison in the soil and on the plant, and the mites stay for weeks and destroy the critters.
At Amaklone, some time ago, I got mites in sachets, six of them, for a few euros, against spider mites, thrips and co.
Good for hanging in the plants. Better than any spraying with Neem, and they clean up for weeks. For the soil, the Hypoaspis miles. They only live in and on the soil against fungus gnat larvae and also eat other things.
Lowering the humidity also helps a bit.
I’ll keep my fingers crossed that you’ll still win the fight. Regards, Paule
I sprayed them with dish soap water, as with the last infestation; it also kills them within a day… And @Pflanzenpaul, predatory mites are already on their way, like nematodes
[quote=“Growstarter40, post:3545, topic:45675”]
predatory mites are already on their way, as nematodes for watering👍🏻
Yes, thanks! Just the dose of nitpicking I was still missing for today:rofl:![]()
Yes, I also have fungus gnats on top of that, that’s why the nematodes against the larvae… and predatory mites are naturally separate:saluting_face:
I was probably a bit tired yesterday.
It was just to be on the safe side.
If I can misunderstand it, then others surely can too ![]()
Greetings ![]()
It was fun for me to watch too, and you are absolutely right!![]()
![]()
Good evening everyone.
And just like that, it was a week ago today that I had worked 100g of Flo Dünger into the soil, and with that, today was the day to re-apply.
So, first I removed the small amount of leaf mulch, and I pulled out several remnants including the roots of the ground cover. To better gently loosen the top layer of soil with a small three-pronged cultivator.
Then, each pot (1 x 18L and 2 x 20L) got a full 180g of Flo Dünger on top. Roughly about 1% of the soil volume. This was again incorporated into the top layer.
It stank like an animal stable again.
Then, I put resting, moist Super soil from the bucket on top, in which even a few predatory mites are still active, and put the leaf mulch remnants back on.
Now the pots are full for now, and watering will only follow tomorrow because the Blumat Digital is still within range.
The pictures were from the Strawberry pot. For the others, it was just a repetition.
Today, day 53, flowering day 3, I had laid the net two days ago, and the Strawberry was in front of it, with its tip still under the bar.

Today it was well at the same height.

That will be a nice small thick Indica bush.
I bent the stem of the Jamaican a bit two days ago, so that the tip almost pointed downwards.
Now it has arched upwards again and has already moved somewhat over the net, so to speak.
Which I already suspected with the Cookies OG given its rapid growth.
It’s really taking off now.
Two days ago, I made it about 20 cm shorter in height at the net.
Today, some shoots were already protruding a good 10 cm above the net.
And every time I hold the phone to the right or left, the color tone changes.
A bit through the middle, between the lamps, and it looks better.
So for her, day 2 in the net was training time, to reposition the shoots so they are now lying on the net again for the time being.
So when her clones are in soil, there will only be 45 cm in height and then into flowering.
But for now, there’s still plenty of space on the net, and if necessary, a second tier will follow.
Tomorrow during watering, the lamps will be brought down to 40 cm.
Yep, and in the small tent, the fan is breaking down. It cracks oscillating and gets stuck.
So it only runs in one direction, over the Bubble Gums.
Another one I wanted to install won’t get going anymore.
Oh well, I was planning anyway to get another AC I… oscillating fan with 225mm for the big one at the top, and then a 150mm one will go from there into the smaller tent.
Of the cheaper fans, that makes 3 that are broken.
On Rose Monday, I’ll be staggering around high as a marshal next to the carnival float.
And then I’ll have truly earned the rotor.
Hmm, the last cleaning and fresh filling of the propagator was also 5 days ago, and I believe it will have to run for another 10 days until I have space to plant the clones in soil.
For today, rest is in order. Big greetings to everyone from Pflanzenpaule
Good day everyone here on the site, I’m taking a short break, a cigarette in my mouth, and briefly recovering from the watering stress. ![]()
The Bubble Gums today at day 78 are now in their 12th week of total life and also in their ninth week of flowering, so the end is now nearing. But they still have a few days, and a second week of only water, there are still some green leaves, but also more and more yellowing, leached out ones. It’s just autumn time ![]()
But I think that today was the very last watering.
Each pot took 2.4 liters of water until Lady 2 had a little drain during the last watering, which was then eagerly reabsorbed into the soil shortly after.
PH was at 7.0, which I left as it was.
10 ml of Melasse/Lab were given one last time to finish, and the time has come to slowly let the soil in the pots of the two dry out.
The water requirement was a little less, because today the sensors were still over 33% where they usually were already under 29%.
Today I raised the lamp’s distance by about 2 cm, now back to 34 cm to the highest point, and most of those below are then at about 36 to 40 cm distance.
Also, I lowered the dimmer to 85% so that it can’t go above 27 degrees anymore. Optimal temperatures in the final flowering would be no more than 25 degrees.
Here it’s running at 26 - 26.5 degrees, and humidity is no problem at all at only 39%. This seems to be the only advantage of peat-free (media), that due to its poor water retention, the humidity stays very quickly in the low range. And my first inline fan, which only has level 1 or 2, is also running, blasting on 2, which ventilates well.
Bubble Gum 1 today, the smaller one
Again, a wonderful variety of colors, and the whole place smells immediately when the tent is open for a short time.
Bubble Gum 2

I think this one could already be harvested. But it will be harvested together with the other one so that both can find their place in the Cannatrol for drying.
In three or four days, five days at most, I will bring in the harvest. And it turned out better than I expected.
The three in their first week of flowering received watering today, after yesterday’s fertilization, each with 1.9 liters of water with 7 ml of Melasse/Lab and 2 million SF Nematodes. So, a total of 10 million nematodes have been introduced into the three pots in the last 1.5 weeks, and I’ll order another 10 million right away.
The water was given in stages, nicely from above, and 300 ml per pot from below, which was immediately gone. After three days without water, they were probably a bit thirsty.
There was nothing else to do with the Strawberry.
For the Cookies OG, I again laid 2 shoots to the net that had stood up again and removed some leaves from the lower area.
Temp. ideal according to KI
and the humidity good
These are currently the environmental values in Pauls Infinity
For the problematic Jamaican, I removed two upper fan leaves for more light incidence for the shoots below.
That was an opposing pair of leaves, and both had a tenth leaflet from the middle.
I haven’t seen that before either.
Yesterday, its tip was already standing up again after bending.
Today already a little more than net height.
So today she got the third plant clip, and I quickly bent the tip down again.
Now freshly watered, they will surely put on some growth faster again. I’ll also immediately increase the dimmers to 70%.
Give Watts, you Ohms, there’s Volts!
Yeah, and actually for my 55th, I wished for the Hydrone dehumidifier. Since the 7 is too large (over-dimensional). It should be the Hydrone 5. And that’s only available from the end of April. By then I’ll be almost 56. So the thought matured that I’ll buy it myself in April/May then. But there’s always something to add and upgrade.
So my wife and kids ordered me a 225 mm oscillating fan AC I… for my birthday, which is coming up again in February. This one will go into the large tent so that a smaller 150 mm one can be moved into the small tent because the two (fans) there no longer run properly. Then they’ll go to the trash.
My son is gifting me 2 adapters so that 2 devices can be connected wirelessly without UIS cables to the KI Controller.
It gives me a bit less cabling. And since I’ve wanted to test the soil moisture / saturation sensor from AC I… for a while, my daughter secured it for me.
It’s a shame you only have a birthday once a year.
I’d need so much more.
But everything in time.
For organizational reasons, the Hydrone 5 is only postponed and not canceled.
Now it’s slowly becoming evening and time to snack on some of the fruits (buds).
Today it’s Fast Diesel Time.
I wish you a lot of fun cultivating. Pflanzenpaule
many little tops, I still think there are too many for an 80x80, pruning them is… tough
I don’t think I’ll prune them again for the rest of flowering, so far I’ve been lucky and I’m not having any deficiency or excess problems, the only thing is that some white hairs are burning. I suppose the LEDs are very powerful, I already have them at 240w, I just raised them about 15 cm and lowered the direct ventilation.
I took a better look at the mutant branch, it has 3 shoots and 3 leaves per node, and it’s flat, but only from the middle of the branch onwards xD I suppose it’s due to the stress of hormonal imbalance, who knows, I won’t smoke it but it’s the first time I’ve seen one of these characteristics firsthand.

@3xt3nd3d
That looks quite nice so far.
Good use of space. And yes, it could get difficult when trimming.
Today, my Big Bud was harvested on flowering day 90.
It had been by the window for the last few days, thus a bit less light, and it was last watered a good 1 1/2 weeks ago.
218g wet makes me quite satisfied, but it could also be the fumes and resins now sticking to me ![]()
![]()
It smells wonderful and the buds are large, firm, and sticky. Just how I want them.
![]()
Best regards ![]()
You always have great grows, man, looks great, what a bud
Moin moin Growlings, ![]()
![]()
And especially today my @Growstarter40.
(Sorry, it’s a bit longer
)
First of all, thank you. That I’m not alone with the problem… Although… As I see it correctly, you have real spider mites. The ones that spin webs and so on. ![]()
![]()
My infestation is a subspecies… They don’t spin webs, they don’t infest the flowers. But they still suck my beautiful ladies dry. ![]()
Damn critters!! ![]()
They can only come from the soil. I always have them. Even though I disinfect my entire tent after every grow. My grow happens in the basement, a more damp, cold climate outside the tent. With a tilted window. So the exact opposite of what they usually like. I’ve tried everything now. With and without chemicals. ![]()
But I try to get it under control using mechanical methods. Of course, most people immediately think of burning out the soil. Or a freezer. But I can’t do the first one in my house because it smells too much. And for the second, there’s too little space.
Since my infestation always appears only during flowering. I’ve had to abort several grows because they couldn’t be saved.
That always hurts badly!!! ![]()
![]()
By the way, I haven’t seen any fungus gnats in 2 years. ![]()
![]()
Preventatively, I’ve been doing this so far…
Since I always repot…
Before any soil goes into the pot, a double layer of plant fleece goes in first. (min. 40 g/m² [indication of fabric density]).
Then the main substrate, plant in, and then a thick layer of quartz sand. (min 2cm)
It’s a real mess when disposing, I admit. But I don’t have fungus gnats anymore. The last chapter is preventing spider mite infestation. And that’s where I run into a problem myself… ![]()
Because the quartz sand, which so nicely keeps the fungus gnats away. Dries out repeatedly during regular watering. Then becomes brittle and over time forms gullies at the pot’s rim, just like normal soil.
My latest attempt…
The picture almost explains itself… Or not. ![]()
Any application of nutrients and water all goes through the half bottles that are stuck about a cm into the soil. The bottom end is lined with plant fleece (another barrier against the critters.) and on top of that, plenty of sand.
The theory now is. By the seepage of water and nutrients through the bottle, these can seep directly into the soil in the upper area. Virtually almost like normal top watering. Just one layer deeper. Which, on the one hand, is filtered again by the quartz sand, and on the other hand, due to the perfect drainage, the entire lower soil layer remains moist. But the quartz sand gets hardly any moisture and thus retains its looseness and with it its “sealing” function… Just as a pure theory. Whether it works… remains to be seen. ![]()
A completely different idea is to tie the entire root ball in plant fleece… But I’ll have to start a series of experiments first. ![]()
Just as a contribution to the topic.
In this sense,
Let’s all grow on… ![]()

Hey @Dbe, that was appropriately detailed and clear. I know about the sand, of course, I’ve done that before too, but as often happens, my everyday life interferes, so no sand in the house and the pest gets in
or mites and fungus gnats.
I kept the sand canyon game stable with Zen rakes, but your way of thinking, I think you know what I mean, is a level deeper than mine ![]()
![]()
I fight spider mites with a dish soap oil mix in a spray bottle, it always worked well, 3-4 days and the plant was free, then showered with a mist function in the tub, all good so far—–BUT!
Firstly, depending on the flowering stage, that’s
