Show off your Ladies

Today a small report on my irrigation yesterday and what I gather from the sensor drop values.

So yesterday I already increased the amount of water per pot to 1.3 - 1.5 liters.

This distributed over the day, i.e., in 2 sessions. For example, after the last irrigation, the Eco Witt sensors remained at 65% after the infiltration phase. Thus, the substrate was saturated up to its maximum field capacity.

Now, 24 hours later, they are at 50 - 51%.

This confirms my suspicion that the girls are getting quite thirsty now.

Tomorrow, at a value of 40 - 45%, I will further increase the watering amount per pot. If the sensors then drop by 15% again within 24 hours, that is the final sign that the root mass is ready for the Auto Pot System.

Currently, the soil life has a wonderful, constant moisture curve.

Friday was already planned to put the Auto Pot into operation. The water in the tank was re-adjusted to PH 7 yesterday; I will now keep an eye on this every two to three days.

And the list of things you need never ends.

A PH / EC meter where the sensors are on the cable, allowing you to constantly monitor the values. Because with the PH pen, opening and closing the tank lid, it doesn’t measure in seconds. That also takes its time.

These things are also available with PH minus dosing capability.

What that will cost again, and Christmas is still so far away.

Now, it is said that in Living Soil, you don’t need to measure PH, nor keep an eye on it.

That works in nature. Reduced to pots, and a constant PH value around 8, which my tap water produces.

Eventually, these buffers in the soil are lost. If you keep using this soil, like me.

Here, at the start, the blockage in the soil was probably because it no longer buffered enough.

That’s why I now always regulate the PH to around 7 / 6.9 / 6.8 in that range.

Since then, it’s slowly getting better, and the blockages seem to be resolving.

:flexed_biceps: Hopefully, it will continue to run well now.

Then, I wish everyone a nice evening, cozy, quiet, and relaxing.

Hello everyone!

Oh, what a day for weather it is again. In this heat, it’s not worth ordering nematodes. They’ll be dead by the time they get here, so I’m watching the weather forecast for milder temperatures in the coming days.

Yesterday, the AC Infinity T3 humidifier reached its limits.

Multiple times the water mist stopped, and it ran almost hot.

My conclusion about this device: a child’s toy.

For really smaller tents with less exhaust, it’s okay. For drying with low exhaust and maintaining RH around 60%, it’s okay.

Now, in the 90 x 90 x 180 tent, I use an exhaust system of around 683 m³/h. Yesterday, that thing reached its limits, and the exhaust was only at level 3 to get heat out.

It worked well until now, but yesterday, with outside temperatures over 30 degrees, the exhaust had to run at level 3 to maintain 27 degrees.

This means more air movement, which also pulls out moisture. To stay in the 66 - 68 % RH range, the humidifier had to run at level 10.

In the afternoon, it ran continuously, sending a lot of water mist through the pipe.

More of the mist also condensed and ran back into the base, which then caused the interruptions.

I’m glad now that I got this thing for free. Today I have to accept higher temperatures by only running the exhaust at level 1.

This allowed me to turn it down from 10 to level 7. It’s been running again since then.

Yesterday, it cut out three times.

And then you also see how a humidifier can lower the temperature by a good 1 - 3 degrees.

In the moments when it wasn’t running, 29 - 30 degrees quickly appeared on the screen.

It’s not even half a year old, but as I said. Luckily, it didn’t cost me anything. So now I’m ordering the T7 from AC, with advance payment, and until that thing ships.

I was just at the gas station and loaded 250 bucks onto my Amaklon account.

On Wednesday, the T7 will arrive, and that will deliver the performance needed.

The pipe there is much thicker, which is probably why less condensation and backflow occur. That was quite a day again, and these interruptions have already happened several times.

Also a combination of high outside temperatures and low RH.

It also shows again that everything really has to be coordinated with each other.

Now this small problem will be history in 2 days.

In parallel, I’m still taking my time to adjust the pH value to spoil the 2 autos with a soft rain today. Measure a bit of PPFD, readjust the light distance, and take measurements to see if they’ve grown.

Yesterday, the 3 photoperiodic plants already got their drink and have already slurped down a good 15% from the sensor again by now, a quarter to two.

This week, the tank will be refilled, topped up, because a good amount has already been used. pH adjusted to around 7. The rest is buffered by the soil, and then the tap opens.

Hope it continues to go well then.

So, a transfer with the home network;

Router, controller, and phone! Yesterday there were also problems because no signal came from the controller to the phone. It disconnected at some point during the night, and only around noon did the router work again, so everything else was running too. Temporarily, there wasn’t even internet.

The Kalini Asia is now gaining more. But it remains that she is a full 8 or 9 days younger than the other two.

To give her a bit of a catch-up chance now,

Yesterday, I topped the Mexican Sativa and the Sour Diesel. With that, I’ve hopefully paused vertical growth for now and invited them to put more energy into lateral growth.

But I had to realize, damn it again!

These yellow spots between the leaf veins are still there, even on newer leaves.

Although not as intense as it was. But not completely gone either.

So yesterday, I distributed 10 grams of dolomite lime and 10 grams of rock dust around the plants. And basically flushed it in with watering.

Now the microorganisms are supposed to break down the stuff and pass it on to the ladies.

God knows. It’s in fertilized soil, and it shouldn’t be like this so early.

But it must definitely be a soil problem and not due to climate.

Because both tents have exactly the same values, and the ladies are also the same age, except for the Asia lady.

They all get the same water. Only the soil for the autos is a newer Dope Lite 5%.

The autos don’t have that. So it can’t be from the irrigation water.

But the Mexican and Diesel are growing and drinking quite well.

Now it’s time to tidy up the smaller tent. After that, I’ll enjoy being alone. My wife went swimming, and I stayed with Gizmo because I still have things to do anyway.

To everyone else, have a nice rest of Whit Monday.

Yesterday on BT18, they received bloom fertilizer for the first time, as the stretch is almost over. And since I’m already doing HST with mainlining, I dared to try the Schwazzing method. So, all fan leaves off except for the uppermost ones. Since I effectively took away their nutrient reserve, I also gave them some nettle slurry with the water to balance things out a bit. Today I also placed the Pink Runtz on a 26 cm high pot to compensate for the differences in growth height. The only one still on the floor is the Green Gelato. I raised the Fat Gorilla by 10 cm and the Sherbet Queen by 12 cm. Now I have a somewhat even height for the tops again. Here are a few pictures. Fat Gorilla

the Pink Runtz

Sherbet Queen

Green Gelato

overall, it now looks like this

You can already see how the buds are growing bigger every day. And they’re already quite sticky for their size. So much for the Private Forest; in the Black Forest Lab, it currently looks like this

The upper left shoot is already trying to push itself over the lamp. I’ll probably have to bend it drastically again to tame it. Best to bend both upper shoots right away. But I’m still considering if I can manage to install a trellis to lay them down underneath. But I don’t feel like doing that today in this heat.

I wish everyone a nice holiday!

Hey folks, the heat just won’t go away, what a drama. :joy:
After yesterday’s watering of the autos, today was the watering of the others.
After the magnesium deficiency stress, things seem to be looking up now.
Of course, the Kalini Asia is and always will be about 8/9 days behind in its development, but it’s really doing great now. And it suffered the most from repotting and the Mag. (Magnesium) deficiency.
Adding dolomite lime and rock dust two days ago has made “all three” of them explode.
Currently, I’m moving away from a 1:1 RO / tap water ratio and adding an extra splash of tap water. So that after lowering the pH to 6.9, the PPM is around 200 and the EC is just about 0.4.
That seems to suit the ladies more too. Two days ago, I topped the Mexican and Sour Diesel, and yet they both grew about 1 cm taller.
But in terms of girth, the fan leaves are starting to get huge. Those two are really taking off.
Oh - yesterday evening the T3 L. humidifier broke down again.
Now I’ve routed the hose out the back and, like the grow before, put the hose back in the top.
It’s been running since then, but in the afternoon, when the temps are very high in the room, it can’t keep up with the higher exhaust. It’s running on level 10.
I hope the T7 arrives tomorrow. It’s on its way.
Today I dimmed the light down a bit, by about 10% to around 50%, to also reduce some heat for the autos in the smaller area.
In the large tent, with the powerful exhaust and the T7, things are running well, and the humidifier easily keeps up with the higher exhaust.
I already have another use for the T3.
I’ve also ordered Purolyt. A concentrate against mold and bacteria, the non-beneficial, disease-causing nasty ones!
I’ll then use the T3 for tent and equipment disinfection. A few ml of Purolyt into the RO water and then fog everything in the tent with the device.
It can also be used great against powdery mildew and that kind of crap, by misting the ladies with it from time to time.
It’s supposed to be very effective.
Currently, I even have to cool the watering water before watering. I leave it in tanks, and it’s currently getting 24/25 degrees warm.
For the amount needed for watering, I then put cooling pads in until it reaches 20 degrees.
But that also works great.
Only when it soon floods directly from the tank into the trays, I have to be careful that the water doesn’t get too cold in the end. If necessary, always turn off the tap for a moment.
Adjust and open the tap again for flooding.
It’s significantly more work, but there’s no other solution given the current heat.
Yep, it was actually to be expected, and that’s what happened.
Today the seeds from the win were supposed to arrive.
It’s been showing a delivery date of today for several days. And just now I got an email from DHL saying they’re sorry and it won’t arrive until tomorrow.
With the Sour Diesel, I can already see that it’s quite thirsty. I had to give it a bit more, and now it’s settling around 63% soil moisture.
The Mexican had 200 ml less today, and here the sensor settled at 67%. Slightly above the maximum, the field capacity. But since all are bedded in fabric, there’s still enough oxygen getting to them. However, the higher reading shows it needs a little less.
34 days today since germination started.
Today they are on day 8 of the vegetative phase, the Mexican Sativa

2795

Clearly in the new area, no more deficiencies and literally, as I said - the growth is exploding. It also looks a bit like it’s trying to cover itself to protect from too much light. I’ve now repositioned the lamp to a distance of 43 cm today. The dimmer is now set to 50%. In the last few days, I’ve increased it in 2 steps from 45% to the current 50%.
Because at the moment they are dancing, the stomata are open which shows that they are working.
They both handled the topping two days ago well, including the Sour Diesel.

I believe these two will get big if it continues like this. And the Sour Diesel still has a bit more room in its shoes.

The Kalini Asia was somewhat like the second born, with a few days delay.
She’s only 26 days old today, since germination started.
But today she’s also already on day 8 of vegetative growth. I gave her a bit less time in the germination and seedling phase. As I said, she also struggled the most with repotting and the Mag deficiency.
The only fact remains; she is younger and has a good 8 days less.
But now she has started to come along, in height and in width. In the last 2 days alone, she has gained 4 cm in height.
The two others only 1 cm because they were also topped. This gives the Asia time to catch up, which she is doing. Awesome! Perfect.

2800

Mexican was 18.5 cm today, S. Diesel 19 cm, and Kalini Asia 13.5 cm today.

Yesterday on day 33, the Wedding Cake Auto in vegetative day 9, is forming more of a lettuce head. But she is known for being rather smaller but bushy.
I think the stretch for the two autos is now imminent.
Because they are autos, and any stress simply robs precious development time. I’ll let them come as they want to.
She was also 18 cm yesterday.

The Amnesia Skittlez

Was 19 cm in height yesterday. So they are pretty much on par with the Mexican and S. Diesel. This also suggests that the stretch for the autos hasn’t started yet.
The way the leaves are positioned shows they are currently enjoying the artificial sun.
Let’s see when the photoperiod plants will go into 12-hour days.
For now, the second week of vegetative growth has just started. We’ll see where they are in 2 weeks.
It’s also about time to start a compost tea, because with the warm weather, no heating is needed. The water will get warm enough on its own.
Many greetings from Pflanzenpaule

@Pflanzenpaul the Pyrolid is similar to hydrogen peroxide, a colleague’s cousin even puts it in the irrigation water and runs the flowering with 70% RH, without mold. But he cultivates without soil life, it wouldn’t survive that. Today I bent the Royal Runtz again a bit because it was growing over my lamp. I’m curious how many more times I’ll have to tie it.

Yes, you can add it to the watering solution for mineral grows. It kills bacteria in the water and gives mold no chance.
Obviously, none of that can or should get into my soil, otherwise it would be dead soil.
But that’s why the story with the T3 is to just mist the ladies here and there. Nothing drips down then either.
I believe Purolyt disinfect

Today is day 20 of flowering, then I assume 5 - 6 weeks until she is finished. I’ve been a bit more cautious with fertilizer so far, which is why she is a bit lighter at the bottom. Saves me defoliating, I would

I probably get over 50 celcius in da sun. datz pretty hot.
I’m always amazed when people flow 1 liter of water a day. My soil holds water well enough that I’ll get root rot, and unless I sweat some water out in da sun I cant even add half a cup of water.
I use de dirt from da garden, which crusts over and stays moist inside, like cake :shortcake: or a pie.

Yea, these measurement gizmos feel like childs toys to me too :baby:.

These are at about 2 months in’

Hi @herr_gruen
for a 4-liter pot, that’s already quite something. But I think that also causes a bit more nutrient deficiency.
At 20 days into flowering, it’s time to clear out the bottom part anyway.
I’ll start flooding the Auto Pot tomorrow.
For that, I have to refill the tank today, mix anew, and what’s left in there, I just saw that the pH has reached 8.1 again.
It probably also has something to do with the water temperature. I’ve put a few cooling packs in there now and I’m waiting for the water to reach 20 degrees and see what the pH is then.
I’ll probably always have to put something in to cool it on hot days. :joy:
Purolyt and T7 should also arrive today. Hooray, then I can turn up the exhaust in the smaller tent without the VPD shooting up to 1.50 / 1.60.
I just have to figure out something to keep the pH value stable.
Bio Bizz PH minus seems to be very unstable.
I just checked. But 600 bucks for a Blue Lab that measures constantly and doses automatically accordingly.
Mmh - that’s a cool thing, but so much dough again. Nah, that would hurt.
So across the board, probably daily measuring and dosing myself. Shit.
The Sour Diesel probably needs an extra watering today.
Her soil moisture sensor is already just under 50%. The Mexican still has 59%. It’s crazy how thirsty some can be.
She’ll get a little extra sip later so it doesn’t drop below 40% by tomorrow.
Cool, the first delivery for today, my win - has finally arrived.
But the free extra Wifi OG Haze weren’t included for me either.
Somehow stupid because it’s offered in the order history. But, yeah, I already have enough for the long term anyway.
But the extra Permanent Marker was included and that will be the strongest herb with over 30%. Brutal, I think.
Wow, the tray surprised me. It’s twice as big as the one I have.
Cool, the new one directly took the place of the old one.

First, it was a big bag in the carton.

And inside there was a lot! The plant labels are also wonderful.
Always useful.

Here you can see the comparison of my small tray and the big huge new one.
You could almost put sandwiches directly next to it so that the munchies can be satisfied afterwards. hehehe
Cool, there’s a chance to win something again with a Growlog of the Ganja Farmer seeds, with a bit of luck.
As far as I read, that goes until 4/27. And by then I’ll surely finish one or two of these seeds.

The water was bubbling again here, I’ll check how everything settles down in a moment. Then refill and adjust.
2866

The big sticker also found its place. They’re almost like trophies.

Now I have to step on the gas here because the next delivery is on its way and then that also has to be connected directly.
So I’ll get the tank ready now.
A few liters of water also still need to be pH-adjusted for the strawberries and tomatoes. They’ve shot up in the last few days. Amazing.
Greetings from Paule

I decided to add the booster to the water after all. Last time, it always got the leftovers from the large tent, but the plant was by the window then. This time, it needs significantly more food. Oh well, it’ll work out.

Ganja Farmer still needs some good pictures for the strains that were available. If you look at their selection, it says “Picture coming soon” for the strains. I think that

What kind of booster is that?
Don’t boosters usually come in from mid-flowering until almost the end?
I can only imagine that you only have success with boosters when the plant is generally well-nourished.
Otherwise, it can sometimes go in the wrong direction.
The boosters I use are all purely organic.
Compost tea with molasses and one drop of Hesi Super Vit per 5 liters.
Vitamins and amino acids, humic acids.
Do you actually continue to give growth fertilizer during the flowering stretch phase?
It still has more nitrogen in it.
Or do you go directly with the flowering fertilizer?
The optimum would be to still work with growth fertilizer during the stretch, then gently reduce it in the third week and gently increase the flowering fertilizer. For a gentle transition.
But to go through the entire cycle already in a 4-liter pot.
Then you almost only have to water.
So they don’t starve.
But surely you thought. Small lab, small plant.
And now it’s going through the roof on you  .
So if they want to present pictures of their seeds via Growlog.
Clearly it serves for sales and I would find that absolutely awesome.
Because they would be real pictures and not those doctored ones that would be far from reality.
Are you also doing a Growlog of the Ganja Farmer seeds to participate?
Now I really have to get some work done here. :joy:

Booster is 0-1-1 NPK. Gave until the second week of growth and in the third stretch, half and half. During normal watering, there was also some liquid manure as a nitrogen boost.

Next run, I’ll probably do three of my own strains and one of theirs. Maybe two of each, I’m still thinking about it.

But seriously, I can already watch my buds swell daily, simply amazing. Today is F21.

This is one of the tops from my Fat Gorilla. And the others look great too.

Oha, those are the buds, full of sugar leaves. That’s going to be a job for your hairdresser hands!
But you still have some time until then. They are already taking on a nice shape. Lovely.

Now it’s also running in the smaller tent. The T7 is in action, and behold;
I was able to set the exhaust fan to trigger at level 3 above 27 degrees, and now, at just level 5, the humidity here remains stable as set.
Aaaaand, despite the heat still outside, I’ve turned the dimmer up another 10% to 60%.
And the temperature no longer goes above 27 degrees. At 27 degrees, the exhaust fan ramps up and pushes it down to 26.8. Although I have more water consumption with the humidifier.
But 15 liters go in there and I only use pure osmosis water.
Which I filter myself.
The tent size is not the decisive factor, but the exhaust system you operate.
And it needs to be able to perform when powerful LEDs are in use.
Otherwise, on hot days, you won’t be able to get rid of the accumulated heat at all.
So one part works with the other so that everything runs harmoniously in sync.

So AC Infinity mentions that the Hydrone 5 is for tents up to 120 x 120, previously it said up to 150 x 150.
Yep, I have a feeling it will be too weak in my 120 x 120.
Because the exhaust fan pulls almost 1700 cubic meters of air out of there.
I believe, if it were airtight at the bottom. The tent would almost be sucked in. Hahaha, what a laugh.
I’ll see what the Hydrone brings during flowering. :joy:
But if it’s too weak, it’ll go to the smaller tent.
For now, I can protect the plants from heat stress, and that’s worth it to me.

Well, when you already see the size difference. The one on the right was really child’s play for me. I’d say for a smaller exhaust fan, 100mm pipe, 125mm, that would be enough for a 100 watt lamp.
It was simply too weak for me. But for misting, instead of spraying, I use it for the ladies. Good for mold control and surface disinfection.
So it hasn’t lost its purpose.
What I roughly want to say is:
If you increase one thing, like lamp power, then remember that everything else also needs to grow with it.
Now only the room is getting too small for me.

Now it fits, and with 10% dimming increase, it stays below 27 even in the afternoon; the humidifier can turn off once the value is reached. The small one was running at full blast, level 10, at the same time and still couldn’t maintain the value.
If it mists, then only at level 5.
It was about the VPD, to have it where it is now.
Another problem solved.
Cool, with the Amnesia Skittlez Auto, I pulled away the pot socks a bit. The first roots showed at the bottom of the fabric pot.
Less so with the Torti. I think I’ll leave her valve closed and let her dry out a bit more so the roots can get thicker at the bottom.
That’s the good thing, that I can block each individual pot again.
A lot done for today, the Bubble Gum is currently blowing my mind.
I’m going to get into a very comfortable position.
Stay High folks - good evening
