Hello everyone!
Oh, what a day for weather it is again. In this heat, it’s not worth ordering nematodes. They’ll be dead by the time they get here, so I’m watching the weather forecast for milder temperatures in the coming days.
Yesterday, the AC Infinity T3 humidifier reached its limits.
Multiple times the water mist stopped, and it ran almost hot.
My conclusion about this device: a child’s toy.
For really smaller tents with less exhaust, it’s okay. For drying with low exhaust and maintaining RH around 60%, it’s okay.
Now, in the 90 x 90 x 180 tent, I use an exhaust system of around 683 m³/h. Yesterday, that thing reached its limits, and the exhaust was only at level 3 to get heat out.
It worked well until now, but yesterday, with outside temperatures over 30 degrees, the exhaust had to run at level 3 to maintain 27 degrees.
This means more air movement, which also pulls out moisture. To stay in the 66 - 68 % RH range, the humidifier had to run at level 10.
In the afternoon, it ran continuously, sending a lot of water mist through the pipe.
More of the mist also condensed and ran back into the base, which then caused the interruptions.
I’m glad now that I got this thing for free. Today I have to accept higher temperatures by only running the exhaust at level 1.
This allowed me to turn it down from 10 to level 7. It’s been running again since then.
Yesterday, it cut out three times.
And then you also see how a humidifier can lower the temperature by a good 1 - 3 degrees.
In the moments when it wasn’t running, 29 - 30 degrees quickly appeared on the screen.
It’s not even half a year old, but as I said. Luckily, it didn’t cost me anything. So now I’m ordering the T7 from AC, with advance payment, and until that thing ships.
I was just at the gas station and loaded 250 bucks onto my Amaklon account.
On Wednesday, the T7 will arrive, and that will deliver the performance needed.
The pipe there is much thicker, which is probably why less condensation and backflow occur. That was quite a day again, and these interruptions have already happened several times.
Also a combination of high outside temperatures and low RH.
It also shows again that everything really has to be coordinated with each other.
Now this small problem will be history in 2 days.
In parallel, I’m still taking my time to adjust the pH value to spoil the 2 autos with a soft rain today. Measure a bit of PPFD, readjust the light distance, and take measurements to see if they’ve grown.
Yesterday, the 3 photoperiodic plants already got their drink and have already slurped down a good 15% from the sensor again by now, a quarter to two.
This week, the tank will be refilled, topped up, because a good amount has already been used. pH adjusted to around 7. The rest is buffered by the soil, and then the tap opens.
Hope it continues to go well then.
So, a transfer with the home network;
Router, controller, and phone! Yesterday there were also problems because no signal came from the controller to the phone. It disconnected at some point during the night, and only around noon did the router work again, so everything else was running too. Temporarily, there wasn’t even internet.
The Kalini Asia is now gaining more. But it remains that she is a full 8 or 9 days younger than the other two.
To give her a bit of a catch-up chance now,
Yesterday, I topped the Mexican Sativa and the Sour Diesel. With that, I’ve hopefully paused vertical growth for now and invited them to put more energy into lateral growth.
But I had to realize, damn it again!
These yellow spots between the leaf veins are still there, even on newer leaves.
Although not as intense as it was. But not completely gone either.
So yesterday, I distributed 10 grams of dolomite lime and 10 grams of rock dust around the plants. And basically flushed it in with watering.
Now the microorganisms are supposed to break down the stuff and pass it on to the ladies.
God knows. It’s in fertilized soil, and it shouldn’t be like this so early.
But it must definitely be a soil problem and not due to climate.
Because both tents have exactly the same values, and the ladies are also the same age, except for the Asia lady.
They all get the same water. Only the soil for the autos is a newer Dope Lite 5%.
The autos don’t have that. So it can’t be from the irrigation water.
But the Mexican and Diesel are growing and drinking quite well.
Now it’s time to tidy up the smaller tent. After that, I’ll enjoy being alone. My wife went swimming, and I stayed with Gizmo because I still have things to do anyway.
To everyone else, have a nice rest of Whit Monday.
