Hey guys, I’m growing a zkittlez auto in a 3 gallon fabric pot. Feeding her foxfarms grow big, bloom big, and bush doctor. I was looking at another grow log for an auto plant and when it was at week 6 it was much further into development than mine is. I may be mistaken week 6 of veg with 6 weeks old from germination? But here’s pics of my little zkittlez auto. She’s like 44 days old and I’ve been lsting her for about a week now.
Week 6 and not 1 pistil that i see!! Are you sure that its an auto? Cuz autos arround 4th week they beguin to show little white pistils on the nods.
If its an auto its going to be huge! I have never had autos vegging for so much time without show those pistils i am talking. Try to be carefull with leafs so they don’t touch wet soil
Here’s my CDLC auto at 43 days old and I’m using ff soil and nutes as well. I’m not sure if you was looking at a grow log of same strain as yours but also keep in mind different environments create different results even if strain is the same not to mention sativa strains grow a little bigger than indica strains so don’t stress the grow log comparisons in my rookie opinion your girl seems to be on track (could be a little behind I’m not sure though) either way I wouldn’t stress to much. Your plant is growing and not dying so good work so far lol
I see. I grow mostly indicas there is why i am stunned by their size without showing sex
I think the zkittlez auto is sati a dominant hybrid right? And I can’t be sure that the seeds are auto’s until they flower- but zkittlez auto is what I ordered. Also, she’s been in veg for 3 weeks. She had root damage as a seedling so took a while to get to veg. The root damage wasnt very significant, nothing that would affect that plants growth like this.
I’ve only grown 4 autos so far all indica dominant strains and I know for a fact my growing conditions aren’t ideal so I’m not getting the full potential out of my autos but they did take about 5 weeks before flowering (around beginning of week 5 veg) and then went on a nice little stretch during flowering so I’d say give another 2 weeks and it should start flowering
I’ve seen your some of your grows and your definitely doing it better than I am lol so not surprised they would look stunned compared to your grows but I was assuming his conditions aren’t ideal either (which is dumb of me to assume) just figured I’d share my auto around the same age so he had somewhat of a comparison
Does the lst prolong veg in autos?
I don’t think it effected me much but I only went 45 degree bends with the training I’m assuming going 90 degrees adds a little more stress which could possibly slow growth I’m not totally sure on this it just my assumption so far from all the studying and hands on learning this year
I get big plants but they veg very little. On the 4rd week i start to see their sex. But i don’t use lst on my plants.
I did 1 of the autos outdoor and no lst and it finished before the indoor ones by a few weeks. I’m assuming natural sunlight and plenty of air was the reason
It was smaller than the indoor lst trained ones but produced a decent amount for me
I also topped the main cola early on, idk if that would affect her in this way?
The girl scout cookie basically got topped accidentally. I had tie down to tight and during stretch it bulged out and snapped in half (this was in first or second week of flowering) it definitely effected my yield but plant did bounce back and still produced about an oz and a half, considering you did yours early it should be alright. I’ve read a lot about lst and hst training autos and you’ll get a bunch of testaments from both sides of the fence stating why or why not to. I’m staying away from any high stress training besides minor leaf pruning with my autos but that’s my personal preference and I think I’m still a novice so couldn’t say for sure if its good or bad but I can say for sure itll produce buds
The thing with autos is they basically have a set time in there life when they start to flower I would think that environment conditions as well as stress could set it back some. I had many sleepless nights in the beginning worrying about plants and there size and comparing mine to other grow logs and once flowering started they jumped in height so I think your going to be fine and continue what your doing and as long as she stays healthy your worries are going to ease over next few weeks bud
Thanks guys. I’m not really to worried about her, just concerned that I may have been sent photo period seeds rather than autos. Also I’m germinating 2 other seeds and want to make sure I don’t make the same mistakes.
