Also I have a Ppm reading of 1060. Wet temps at about 68 deg and ph ranges 5.8-6. Assuming the worse case root issues what are the ways to safely treat and fungus⦠and if a lighting issue how much wattage should I get I see a few on
Cannabis needs tons of light;
200-400 ppfd during seedling
600-800 ppfd for vegetation
And over 1000 ppfd during flower.
I think a lot of your problem is lighting and root area size , plants will literally stop growing and suffer from not having enough room for their roots to grow.
They need access good drainage and oxygen.
Root rot Iām not sure anything can be done Iāve never dealt with it so I donāt know .
For soil , Iām going to get argued with on this , but I personally used Scottās:
And after comparing the labels of Happy Frog and Scottāsā¦Scottās is actual more mild than Happy Frog and your seedlings will be fine. I used it on my very first plant ( a bag seed ) and got over 3 ounces from it , but being my first plant I made a lot of mistakes. Iām doing two autos now and going to get over a 1/2 pound between them.
I would recommend to get fabric pots at least 5 gallons , you can do three gallons but not enough room to me , and depending on how long you veg a photo determines how big a pot you need - the longer the veg the bigger the pot. I have a 10 gallon fabric pot waiting for when I start my photos.
Forgot to mention your in preflower or super early flower , I only get pistels right before flower.
So your plant probably has a fungus likely. You canāt use āorganicā or any kind of soilnfornaerogsrden. Just coco coir. Really any kind of medium thatās not soil. That is the biggest learning thing Iād say to take from this.
Sorry I keep referring to soil. I went back in your post and saw that you went from the areogarden to soil then back to areogarden.???
I personally donāt know anything about them so I canāt help except for the light requirements.
Itās completely different from soilā¦sorry for the confusion.
Switching the mediums around like that will stress the plant. I suggest you ditch the aero garden and put it in a DWC setup with buckets and net cups. The aero garden isnāt big enough for a flowering plant. Maybe get rid of the aerogarden light andget a 100 watt light for it. The light will vary on the size of your grow area.
Wow a whole pound Iām just hoping on this first one I get maybe an 8th or a half ounce. Would this light from Amazon be better than the stock light on the aerogarden. Thinking of removing that light and hang this light in pics over ceiling. Have to possibly get some sort of lock in pulley system to lower it. And I was also thinking of getting a dehumidifier to regulate humidity as I get closer in bloom. Right now see a few white hairs. But definitely think there is some sort of fungus from tap water maybe something that is microscopic
Will a DWC be prone to water fungus and bacteria . Powdery mold etc. I think there is a possibility that might be occurring and damaging the roots because the leaves seems droopy and Iāve already did all the calmag. Tried foliar spray etc. idk. It seems though the dwc will allow the roots to expand with space. Iām looking at this light system . If I have a root rot issue starting any advise as this is a water tank grow
I think DWC may be my next option I have like 20 auto flowers and 20 indica strains so Iām hoping to learn each time this plant Iām on now was a seed from a 8th I got from a dispensary so kinda trial and error
So if itās a fungus and possibly effecting root or causing leaves to droop what can I use ā¦, the plant hasnāt started to grow any buds only has small white hairs currently
My ppm is at 1060 ⦠ph ranging 5.8-6. Should I cut back on nitrogen as it seems this is attempting to flower
Even though that light is advertised as 1000w its only really a 75watt so probably not enough juice to get a plant through flowering properly, you have to be very careful when buying lights that you are getting what you think you are. Look for things in the specs like actual draw or power consumption
An aerogarden is a small DWC setup. You need more room for your roots and for the plant. Viparspectra has good lights for cheap. Donāt buy a blurple light, buy a light with white light it has more frequencies that are beneficial.
If youāre not using any H2O2 in your tank/reservoir you may want to look into it. Hydrogen peroxide will help boost oxygen content in your nutrient solution . . . good for roots, bad for bacteria and fungus growth.
As others have mentioned, stay away from the cheap Amazon light. Personally Iām running HLG now with good results, but I would recommend anyone building out (or upgrading) a grow take a look at the Migro Array modular lighting system.
General rule. 100 watts per plant minimum. Also, if its an LED watch out the 1000 watt mislabeled description. LED are sold as HID equivalent. Basically a 1000 watt HID is likely a 100 watt LED.
Oh no!! You flipped her to flower already? Or did she start flowering on her own? Also were you thinking about getting a dedicated grow space like a tent? It could help you maintain a consistent grow environment when using things like humidifier/dehumidifier
It looks like they did 7 days ago⦠according to the previous posts in the pics of their log , says flipping to flower in one of them , Iām just following for info reasons I got confused and gave advice for soil not aero garden so i couldnāt help to much.
So I thought I share where Iām at now itās in pre flower I guess stage this kinda just happened but honestly this was a small random seed first seed Iām like at 6 months overall growing it was close to death when I put in soil someone on here told me to let it die but I kept on believing lol and I needed the experience before buying seeds. I actually think the roots are fine I had thought I had root rot but I donāt think so ⦠I canāt figure out the droopy leave and leaves spots not sure if itās common in aerogarden grow. Anyway check out pics let me know if I should do anything else at this point⦠especially for nutes⦠currently on week two in flower

You have too high of a nitrogen ppm, take a look at the resevoir. You may need to make a new dose and decrease your nitrogen amount and increase bloom fertalizer a. But your plants ARE sorta dropping but Burnt leaves and canoeing downwards is a sign of nitrogen toxicity. Make sure your ph is dialed in too. 5.8-6.0 is where Id recommend trying to get the pH around. Because it could be a toxicity due to ph imbalance. The resevoir holds the problem and the solution.
Iām not sure what a nitrogen ppm means⦠I have a ppm reader it tested the ppm of my water with added nutrients at 1150 ppm for flowering phase. Iām using the general hydroponics bloom grow and micro. The micro has about 5% nitrogen wants 2tsp per gallon . Also use calmag which also has nitrogen I think about 4% . I use a little less than a1/5 tsp. The leaves have been droopy for a while could be a bad genetics idk
A standard ppm pen tester wonāt tell you just nitrogen results , it reads everything. You need to get something that will only test for nitrogen. Iām not sure of any right off hand but Iām sure they are out there somewhere.
