Some of the edges of the leaves are turning yellow. Please kindly look at the pictures and let me know regarding grow lights as this is my first time. My ph value is between 6 and 7 mostly. Also how often should i water them. And how far should i keep the grow light. Any other tips and suggestions are welcome. I bought a NPK 19:19:19 YESTERDAY. Please guide me how much should i use and when to use. Also which color grow light i should use i. E blue (currently using), red or both together. Thanks in advance for your help.
7 or 8 plants maybe. Should i separate them and transplant them single by single in different containers? Please suggest. Also how big should be the container. Please suggest.
I’m on my first plant but you definitely need to put all those in individual pots and I found out that I’m going to be using a 20 gallon tub for my next photo (regular) just because of the potential to size and yield. I can’t put mine in the ground where I am but it will be big enough for good growth and healthy roots.
Lighting is also very important ( trust me ) I’m still learning on that part and getting an understanding of it but not enough to suggest anything.
Someone here can help you for sure.
Thank you soooooo much for reply. I will transplant them to individual pots asap. Just 1 more questions i. E how many gallon the pot should be for now, since they are small right now. Please view the picture and let me know, will the pot be enough till the harvest? I mean to ask once they grow big, do i have to again transplant them into bigger pots or will this pot suffice. Thanks once again for the reply
If there regular you can step up…if start with a 3 then 5 then 10 that many plants are gonna take up alot of room . I’m doing the 20 gallon because Im only going to be doing one photo a year plus 2 autos staggered in 5 gallon buckets indoors all year.
I’m going from this:
Yes, Separate them into individual containers. Start off with something in the 3 gallon range. When they out grow that then switch into a final home. That should be no less then 5 gallon. The bigger the easier it is to keep up on nutrition. Atleast if going organic. If going synthetic nutrients then 5 gallon is perfectly fine since you’ll be feeding through your watering.
Im using the Fox Farm calmag and Tiger Bloom right now , but…this is just my opinion…I’d start using their Grow , Micro , Calmag and Tiger Bloom. This is what I’m going to be doing for the future. Right now I’m battling high temperature/ humidity and thunder storms can start anytime of day this time of year so I’m just having to keep an eye on it and check the soil moisture and feed her when I can so I don’t over water.
Shes outside and gets about 7-8 hours of direct sunlight when it’s out in the afternoons. I started her indoors but screwed up the lighting…like I said " trust me lighting is important " …and moved her outside now I’m about 6-8 weeks away from harvest.
I’m personally going with a led full spectrum that I can adjust the colors on. Red and blue are good at different stages but right now I couldn’t tell you which way at the moment got to much other info in there right now. But I know someone here can answer both of us for sure.
You are right. Guys please answer our questions i. E what color light to use in vegetative stage. Blue, red or blue red both together and how far should i keep it away fron the plant
@Vick
I’m not going to say this is definite for sure…but I think it’s blue for seedling ,lots blue and limited red and orange during veg , then mostly red for flower???.. Again wait for someone who has more experience say for sure.
