Happy Easter

Hey everyone, and now some small updates on my grow, as always both of my :sunflower: are in mineral substrate in 14/4l self-watering pots.

Kalini Asia FD 13 - should be 7 flowering weeks

had root rot, the float from the tank was stuck, which is why the lady had very wet feet for 4 days → she was extremely offended.

I pumped out the water tank, then there was a flush with neem oil, Hesi Elixir/Rootmaster → then left to dry for a week and switched to foliar feeding = Patient lives, but since the mess happened at the start of flowering, it’s definitely not going to be a good harvest,

Melt Banana FD 10 should be 9 flowering weeks

everything is going great with her and without problems.

Also from me, very happy Easter days, just like that, completely without a phrase,……..yeah right, as if, am I crazy? As long as the new seed pops and little plants with fine fragrances attract, I, the buck, still have a

Here’s a picture taken from a different angle @KilliczGe

here you can see the height difference a bit better. I just moved the clips a bit further out again to bring them down a bit. Except for the Fat Gorilla, all are at the same height, :crossed_fingers: Hopefully it stays that way, it would be the first time it works out like this with different strains. Depending on how they can still be shaped, I will simply plant the Fatti 6 cm deeper at the next repotting, and that should bring them all back to the same height.

Today they each got another 400 ml of water with some Diamond Nectar (Fulvic Acid) and CalMag. The Sherbet is slowly showing some potassium deficiency again, getting brown spots on the large fan leaves. Maybe I’ll start a dandelion slurry for the next grow to keep that better under control  . But first the nettle slurry has to be ready and transferred into a gas bottle so I can refill the barrel.

Moin moin.
Now the holidays are over.
Yesterday I took the Cookies OG and Strawberry Kush out of the Cannatrol after 5 days of drying and 6 days of curing.

Beautiful buds, especially the Strawberry has nice red-brown hairs.
It was weighed dry, but in the end it was a bit more than I thought.
After all, almost 240 gr of flowers without trim and popcorn buds.
Now the next bag of soil is also resting.
Dope Lite 5 % living Soil! The soil for automatics.

Then it’s time to munch on some of the new strains.
Today I’m taking the Jamaican out of tent drying and it’s then going into the Cannatrol.
Wish you a nice day.

Oh, that’s nice! The big tent is cleaned. A few minor things have been changed, like the light sensor, and the water line is back on the floor and already connected to the tank. At the first branch, a 9 mm hose, 3 meters long, is attached to the tap, for later going over to the small tent, because two automatics in the Auto Pot will then be supplied with water there. Meanwhile, the bags and buckets of activated or fertilized soil are stacking up in various strengths of the Living Soil. So, the Jamaican is now also in the Cannatrol for 3 more drying days and in Cure Mode. Since it’s steadily getting warmer outside, finishing drying in the tent below a consistent 20 degrees would no longer be possible. So the buds remain at 19 degrees and enjoy 61% RH. Only the Dope Lite will be mixed again right away and then bagged! And then it’s quitting time, and I’ll taste a small Cookies OG. The Grove Bags are now also safe, so there isn’t too much in the apartment. It’s all supposed to be totally legal! Then quickly bag the soil before the impact comes. Stay High and keep enjoying the growing. Wishes Paule

Today, the plants received a special cocktail of dandelion decoction, nettle slurry, Fulvic Acid, and Grow fertilizer to counteract the potassium deficiency.

I’m curious to see if I can get this under control. The dandelion decoction quickly increased the TDS by 500.

Hey @herr_gruen
I took the liberty of taking a closer look at your ladies.
My guess is;
it’s not just a potassium deficiency!
Based on your pictures, they show clear signs of nutrient deficiency and potential problems with water uptake.
But there’s no reason to panic yet, as the upper shoots still look quite vital.
I’ve got an analysis of the visible symptoms for you! I just have some time.
1 Nitrogen Deficiency;
the most noticeable symptom is the yellowing of the older, lower leaves, while the plant continues to grow green at the top.
Nitrogen is a mobile nutrient. If the lady doesn’t get enough of it through the roots, she draws it from the older leaves to supply the new growth at the top.
It will then become a fairly uniform yellow from bottom to top.

2 Magnesium Deficiency / Interveinal Chlorosis.
Some leaves show light green to yellowish discolorations between the leaf veins, while the leaf veins themselves remain dark green.
This gives the leaves a “striped” appearance.
Often a consequence of an incorrect pH value, which blocks uptake.

I assume that a possible pH lockout or overwatering is present here.
The brown spots and necrotic (dead) areas on the lower leaves, as well as the slight “drooping” of some leaves, indicate that the roots are stressed.
You know about pH value: if it’s too high or too low in soil as well as in irrigation water, the nutrients cannot be absorbed even if they are present in the soil.

The pots seem quite moist. “Oxygen deficiency”!
If the soil is permanently too wet, the fine root hairs die off, which leads to similar deficiency symptoms.
Check the pH value, otherwise adding more nutrients won’t help.
In soil, the water including fertilizer should have a pH of 6.0 to 6.8.
After watering, let the soil dry out about 2 - 4 cm deep.
If the pH is correct, use a balanced growth fertilizer with a high N-content, but more doesn’t always help a lot. Start gently with 50% of the recommended amount.
You can gently remove the yellow-brown leaves at the bottom as they no longer provide energy and only hinder air circulation.

Hope you get it under control.
I also had a little mishap. I had gently fertilized fresh, activated 10% Dope Soil twice, hoping that a bit more would give more.
Suddenly, slight burns formed on the sides of the leaf tips, and the top started to lighten up.
Now there’s only water, and by now only every three days.
So it can dry out in between.
Today, I captured a few more snapshots of the Cookies OG clones on flowering day 37. They’re already incredibly sticky and smell strong.
But first, pictures from yesterday. Of the Jamaican Pearl that was pre-drying in the tent for 6 days at around 19 degrees Celsius and 61% RH, hanging upside down.
I separated the buds from the branches and laid the buds on the trays that are now

in the Cannatrol for another three days in Dry Mode and then 7 days in Cure Mode.

They had already lost a good amount of volume during the 6 days in the tent.
Here from today, Cookies OG Clone 1
Tag 97 Klon 1 Blüte Tag 37

It’s getting very brutally frosty again. The last picture - Beautiful.
In the first picture, you can see the crunch zone from the tent door a bit. I should have attached that one pole as protection, but I don’t want to mess around with it too much now.
A light defoliation was planned for Friday, which I already completed today.
Only a few larger fan leaves above the net were removed. The light-blocking ones from the underlying buds and for a bit more airflow.
I moved the lamp closer, from 40 cm to 35 cm. Let’s see if they like it, otherwise it goes back to 40 cm.
Clone 2

Here the color tone bothers me immensely, but in the original, it’s not that intense.
It was just the situation, getting the back corner almost directly under the light into the picture.

Otherwise, it still looks good, except for a few fan leaves with slight burn marks on the side leaf serrations, which fortunately didn’t get worse.
There’s no extra feed anymore either.
You can also already see how frosty the whole thing is becoming. No matter where you touch to take a leaf, your fingers get sticky immediately. Perfect!
Finally,

another environmental picture - what an idiot I am.
I didn’t have the door completely open, and that’s why a bit of the left front corner is missing.
Flowering Week 6, which they are in now, should be the start of the bud swelling phase.
Because in three to four weeks, they will be finished too. Their “Muddi” met her end on Flowering Day 62, and that’s exactly 25 days from now.
Now I’m digging around in the worm bin; I’ve already found eggs from which 1-2 new little worms will hatch. And seeping broth is collecting.
Soon a second level will follow. Seems like they’re feeling good.
And just like that, the day is almost over. I wish you and everyone else here a good evening. Greetings from Pflanzenpaule

The wet soil is deceiving in the pictures; I had given them 250 ml of water today. The pots were already relatively light today, otherwise they would have received a bit more. The photos were taken right after watering, and the water was still soaking in. And I don’t quite understand the yellow tint in the pictures either; in real life, they look different. I also turned on the flash for photos now, but depending on how I hold the phone, it becomes more or less yellowish. Actually, it’s only the large fan leaves that are affected on the two strains with the Sherbet genes. First, it started with the Sherbet, and a few days later, it began with the Fatti. Actually, it was just brown spots; I initially left them on to be leached out. Now some yellow is appearing from the tips, but not as it looks in the pictures. Tomorrow I was planning to re-tie the side shoots anyway, as they keep pulling themselves out of the loops, and then all the very large fan leaves will be removed anyway.

Then I’d guess overwatering,..

at the moment when only the two fan leaves and the small new main shoots remained, and you had removed everything else, tip and other shoots, there might have been too much water in the soil for too little remaining leaf mass.
Which is now causing the damage there, that was “damaged” “back then”.

Just an idea

After topping, I reduced the amount of water and extended the intervals. I also weigh the pots before each watering. I also rule out overwatering.

I looked at the pictures again and now I also see the problem with the dark veins on them. In reality, they are not darker, but the leaves are wrinkled and curved upwards between the veins, which makes the areas look darker.

That was pretty much what I wrote, @KilliczGe
pH problem or overwatering.
But a perfect thought.
Is the soil too wet and then topping and defoliation.
Followed by a few stress days where they were out of sync and kept their feet too wet.

But every plant is also different!
Some don’t like such interventions at all.
Others want it wetter and others drier.

That’s what makes it so exciting and no cultivation is like the other.

What’s more important is that it’s getting healthier from the top again.
And it is.
Yes @herr_gruen
I also have that with the color change, depending on how you snap pictures towards the light.
I sometimes turn down the dimmer for that, and yet the color often doesn’t match the original.
It happened again to me today.
What pot size do you currently have?
My example from the last harvest:
20-liter pot. The

As I said, I lift each pot before watering, and if I think there’s still some moisture, I wait until the next day. Pot size is currently 5 liters. I know about the sensors too, that there’s still water at the bottom even when it seems dry at the top. When I repot next time, they’ll go back in. Then the pots will be a bit taller, and the plant will also grow bigger over time, so I won’t want to lift and weigh them anymore. Otherwise, you might underestimate the plant mass and be wrong about watering or waiting.

The Pink Runtz and Green Gelato, on the other hand, are standing perfectly.

The dandelion brew is also supposed to improve the soil, by the way. I’ll wait a few days now to see how they respond to it, and if I take them out briefly tomorrow to re-anchor them, I’ll take pictures outside the tent.

So with 5-liter pots, it’s virtually dry on top, then also at the bottom, and by lifting them, you can still handle it well.
With the large pots.
I don’t feel like lifting them, especially when there’s even more on top.
And with the sensors, it’s not that easy either.
They react differently to every soil mix.
It’s not 100% for me.
It only helps a little. But it does help somewhat against overwatering if I stick to certain percentages.
But I have 2 that only rise very slowly at first.
There it can sometimes go overboard.
Often, too much of one nutrient can also block another.
Man, yesterday I watched a documentary from the Rif Mountains, Morocco.
The plants that grow there…
Ours are true monsters compared to them. It looked like they removed all side shoots to harvest only a main bud, which was very thin on top of that.
Water shortage is one thing, but then the number of fields.
It was interesting to see on YouTube.

So now it’s time for the cozy part of the evening.
Let’s see if I can find a great horror movie.
Blood splatters - guts fly through the air and Paule is happy.
Stay High and good night

The growing method used to be called Lollipopping, but I don’t see the appeal. Bare stem and only one thick bud, no thanks. Good night.

I actually wanted to take the pictures outside the tent today, but I was so deep in thought when I gave them their second shaping cut today that I completely forgot. Instead, I photographed 2 of the cut leaves in the sunlight

And since they now need some rest and less water again, they won’t get anything from me for a few days. By then, I’ll also see how they are taking to the dandelion broth.

And finally, a small picture of the Royal Runtz

since the soil was bone dry today, I gave her 30 ml of water with the spray bottle; after all, the water for humidity has to come from somewhere.

Here’s a brief compilation from my side

The Kush’s continue as before, critical significantly further along, but special Kush is also slowly starting to form hairs and thus flowers.

In the other tent, some interesting things are showing up.
First, the Grape Soda. It looks great and the flower spears are getting thicker and thicker. A good three weeks left, and it’s showing it too, some leaves are slowly discoloring. Let’s see what comes out of it in the end.

What’s coming along well, however, is the Wedding Cake Automatic. It’s simply putting on such a mega pace, it’s hard to keep up :joy:

In contrast, the automatics of the same age, Blue Mazar and Sherbet Queen, are rather small, bushy, and not yet stretching.

But both the same size. It’ll be fine

Cereal Milk has gotten a nice crown. It will also be left alone for now. The cutting is still alive but there’s nothing groundbreaking to show yet. :joy:

IMG_6696

And the small ones in the cups will probably stay there until there’s room for pots :joy:

Today, I removed the upper leaves there and on the Wedding Cake.

So far, everything looks good to me, I rarely have a plan, so I’m happy  Happy growing :smiling_face_with_horns:
