So I put just the coin on the screen then assemble the grinder for use. Grind as you typically would, give the grinder a light shake the remove the bud from on top of the screen and leave the coin for the next use.
Sorry @BluntForceTrauma420
But I somehow don’t understand your explanation. How is the coin supposed to help me with the light?
There are 3 levels in my grinder
1. Put bud in (to grind)
Underneath is a level with a fine screen.
And underneath that is another level for the fine (dust)
If I put the sugar leaves and popcorn buds right into the 2nd level from the start, along with a coin. Shake it a bit, and because of the coin in with the leaves, the fine hairs get knocked off. And the fine dust falls through to the bottom.
But as I said, I don’t understand the thing with the coin for light?

Ok Thx
Now I can’t misunderstand it at all anymore.
1000 thanks!![]()

You’ll get gray hair before you get built like that. Search online for a 150 micron flour sieve, mine is stainless steel. Parchment paper underneath, leaves on top, and rub gently. Tap lightly now and then, and sweep it together with a brush at the end. You’ll be done in half an hour and can press something. The other way is awesome too, but only for the really tough ones with big biceps and a lot of boredom
, I think you’ll get tennis elbow from that real quick.
The TrimBin doesn’t cost a fortune anymore either.
Comfortable trimming and a 150-micron screen included right off the bat.

Moroccan Dry Sift. If you want to play drummer a bit while baked, then drum yourself some kief.
Beautifully sitting cross-legged with little sticks, a metal tub, and some nylon, wrapped in foil so nothing flies away.
I have a question?
How did you just get from the coin to the light? ![]()
With the grinder, you have to grind 3 g of weed to get 0.3 g of hash.
And keep in mind!
When you sift, stop around 10%.
Meaning 10 g of buds = 1 g of kief.
Anything more degrades the hash. At a 15% yield, it happens that there’s already too much plant material in it so it can’t be pressed anymore.
Best to practice with the trim first later on.
Quite a bit adds up from the trim.
I’m already waiting for it to get colder to sift my bit of trim. In the cold, the trichomes detach better.
Good night folks, I’m going back to watching Resident Evil 2026 now.
The last one was English and/or Spanish. I didn’t understand a thing! So the whole thing in German again. ![]()
The mesh is too big there.
Type TrimBin into Amazon.
You can also buy a mixer or washing machine at a grow shop !!! with the smaller leaves full of pollen. You get a very good result in a very short time and with material that in most cases we discard.
And those big ones are absurd, when I grind a bud it is to consume 100% of its substance!!!
I prefer to save the material we discard, which has a very significant amount of pollen. And I throw away practically nothing ![]()
Best regards
to all of you

I also want to use as much as possible. I thought that after trimming I’d only do it with the sugar leaves & the popcorn buds. Everything else will be dried.
They look beautiful and perfect, what lovely colors.
Thanks @3xt3nd3d
They are still relatively single-colored. Hopefully that will change.

So, and now I’m taking a little break.
Yesterday I put the first seedling into its final pot, and it’s still standing and alive!
Now the next repotting was planned for Tuesday, because I wanted to give them a few more days.
However, today the Sherbet Queen and the Mexican Sativa also showed their first set of 5-finger leaves with the next set forming.
So the Sherbet just went into a 25 L fabric pot filled with about 22 L of Living Soil that had been resting moist for months now.
When pushing the mulch aside, it smelled like forest soil. Also, the soil is still so saturated with water that I’m only going to water it in just a tiny bit.
I dug the planting hole a bit deeper to set the lady a bit deeper overall, and now she’s a bit smaller than before again.
Added a bit more Mycorrhizae and Trichoderma, and the second lady is sitting in her final pot.
And I hope she survives. Because the lady of the house was supposed to take a photo while I was holding the root ball in my hand. Of course Gizmo joined in and happily wiggled his butt until he was sitting right on the Sherbet.
She didn’t like that very much and ended up leaning at an angle.
Now all we can do is hope.
The Mexican will also be transplanted into her final pot today.
For that, the 18 L pot with Bio Tabs was chosen. The sensor needs to be calibrated here as well. There’s some runoff in the saucer of the pot, the soil is 100% saturated, and the Ecowitt is showing something else.
It’s just a different setting for every substrate. Air pockets, perlite, coco distort the moisture readings.
Now I’ve tilted the pot for now so the excess water can drain off, and then she’ll go in there.
It’s probably going to be a bit tight fitting 5 larger pots into the tent. But somehow it’s got to work.
Have a nice day, I’m going back to digging ![]()
Fingers crossed that your Sherbet recovers. Looks like little Gismo wasn’t the center of attention ![]()
The little guy is always happily right in the middle of it, especially when the soil smells like forest floor with a bit of manure stink added to it.
He’d love to bathe in the soil.
He likes the small, delicate little plants. Only he’s very rough out of joy.
The one I repotted yesterday seems to have settled in well.
Strawberry Kush is on day 1 of veg today
I think she even grew quite a bit.
I hope the soil sensors are well calibrated now according to the actual moisture.
I held off on watering for now because when repotting the Mexican, I noticed that the soil was so saturated with water that when tilting the pot, a few drops of water actually still came out.
When digging out the planting hole, I squeezed the soil in my hand and a drop or two seeped out between my fingers.
Adding even more water would directly lead to overwatering.
Now I’ll keep an eye on everything for the next few days.
The Mexican started germination 19 days ago and was on day 16 as a seedling today.
Actually doing quite well for that time, germinated quickly too.
Earlier she went into 18 L Super Soil from Bio Tabs.
In the soil mix there is 50% of the manufacturer’s spec of Silicium Flash and Startrex. 1.5 Bio Tabs, but a generous amount of Mycotrex in the planting hole.
Adding more later is always possible and better than directly doing too much.
Her last minutes in the small pot.
Even though the roots are a bit thin, she grew out in all directions.
Even high up near the edge, roots were showing.
Along with the Mycotrex, I added a tiny bit more Silicium and Startrex into the hole.
And in she went. I would have liked her a bit deeper.
But since all the powders were already in, I didn’t want to dig any further.
Now she gets some peace and quiet to settle in.
Tomorrow her veg phase starts together with the Sherbet Queen.
She is also 19 days since germination start and on day 15 as a seedling today.
Also pretty good for the time.
Earlier she went into this forest-smelling soil. Living Soil that rested for months, constantly moist.
The mulch layer is already decomposing.
25 L fabric pot with approx. 22 L living soil, layered 7% at the bottom, with a smooth transition to 5% and 3% towards the top.
There she was still in the starter pot.
Into the hole here went Trichoderma, Mycorrhiza and Beneficial Bacteria from Super Microbes RootX.
And she was tucked in, and for now you can’t tell anymore that she was leaning badly where Gizmo almost killed her with his butt.
I managed to bury her deeper, so she only sticks out 7.5 cm from the soil.
Let’s hope the soil life is still very active.
Now three are in their final pots and the tent is slowly taking shape.
First, the left side
And the right side. In front are the latecomers.
The Tropical is still stunted and I won’t be taking her along for the rest of the journey.
The two smaller ones will go into their final pots in the coming days.
The dimmers are now at 37% and the ones in the final pots are at a 70 cm light distance.
Once the repotting stress is over, I’ll bring the lights a bit closer to the ladies.
But even as it is, it seems to suit them fine for now.
I still have to be a bit considerate of the small ones.
I think the most sensitive time is over now.
Best regards from Paule, and cool – my hair on top got trimmed today too.
And the little ones are looking pretty good so far.
Have a nice evening, wishes Pflanzenpaule
Here’s a picture of my Royal Runtz, she’s sticking with it and getting 3 shoots at every node
That’s going to be a nice bush if she keeps growing like this.My Bubble Gum Sherb handled the fimming well, but now she should be repotted soon .
Here are a few more pictures of the stragglersCandy Dynasty
Fat Bastard Permanent Marker Mint Kush 1 And Mint Kush 2 Not much longer and I can repot them and put them in the big tent.Wishing everyone a good start to the week
Good morning
Just a quick check and all three in their final pots look beautiful.
Today I’ll add the Bio Tabs range to the nutrient list.
But first a cappuccino, because I’m already out on tour with Gizmo.
And already blazed the first one for today. ![]()
Sampled the hermie lady Kalini Asia yesterday evening.
And well, in the morning you notice the first one best.
Can these eyes lie? Hehehe
But clearly the herming didn’t come without consequences.
On the other hand, so far it’s only been the smallest popcorn buds from the lower area.
There are always 1, 2 seeds in the grinder.
Also, I feel like it lost a lot of potency because of the herming.
Immediately after smoking, there’s a gentle hit, pretty much right away.
It just doesn’t last very long.
But I’m still curious about the top buds, because higher up there’s often more of the good stuff.
Then on Friday I’ll put the 2 seedlings into their final pots.
By then they’ll be around 21 days from germination start and around 16 seedling days.
Increased the dimmer to 38% today, gradually raising the light intensity.
I think the Permanent Marker will get the 18 L pot with Bio Tabs.
The Jamaican will then go into the Living Soil 25 L fabric pot with 22 L of soil and mulch.
That’s the pot that the Sour Diesel was in.
Since then, the pot has been kept covered and moist.
Let’s see what else it will yield.
Now I’ll enjoy being a bit fried in good company.
Stay High
@Pflanzenpaul hahaha this morning I was also able to treat myself to a smoke (usually because of work I only smoke afternoons/nights) but these days I’m not working and today I took advantage of the time playing around with the bonsais.
It’s my first time growing with living soil, I’m not sure if I’m growing clover or weed lol
to be honest they looked really healthy and natural, so I decided to mess up their morning like I always do and while I was at it clean the tent, the reservoir, the bluemats ![]()
and this is how they are now
also I planted another handful of white clover seeds per pot
and I placed a surface layer of pumice (pumice stone), bluemats, a light watering with seaweed, and I sprayed with that same seaweed water, in 7 to 14 days they’ll switch to flowering, I hope, they are as symmetrical as I could leave them, I also trimmed newborn shoots 1mm in size, this time I didn’t allow any shoot or branch to grow in the horizontal area, removing them as soon as they appeared, plus I’ll pull out all the new ones
