I will have to take a close look tomorrow.
No, no, didn’t overlook anything, I was just planning something because tomorrow there’s a meeting with a colleague who used to be here often and helped me a lot with my first own grow.
He lives a bit further away and now he’s ended up near here on his RV tour. Not meeting up would be fatal. Hehehe.
That’s why it took a while. No thanks needed, you’re welcome. Have a nice evening, Regards Paule
Oh yeah, I know that feeling, my best friend now lives in Hamburg and it’s hard to find a time to meet. ![]()
![]()
Last time he was passing through, had a gig the next day (Punk/Reggae musician), then stayed overnight at my place and from here it was only an hour’s drive instead of 6-7 from Hamburg ![]()
Always nice but such moments are rare ![]()

What do you think about the three GG4 cuttings?
From base to tip 150-160cm, 1-2 weeks into flowering. Started mid-April.
Very good that sounds good
![]()
They also look chic, only I wanted to correct the height of one of them a bit and then it kinked

repaired with autopot hose
Oh, that’s a nasty break. But not completely through, so the top can still be supplied, and with the hose as a splint, that’s awesome. Hope it grows together. Happened to me with the Fast Diesel, but no open break. Instead, the stem is flat at that spot, no longer round. But it keeps growing. Have a pleasant night and much success. Paule
I somehow misplaced my tape and had nothing else on hand, and when I came up with the idea, I thought, ‘that’s really awesome’ ![]()
![]()
I might end up grabbing a pack since people are speaking positively of then

Yummy yummy ![]()
@KilliczGe Those are definitely male flowers; with hermaphrodites they sometimes look like bananas and sometimes like small balls, just like yours. Female flowers would definitely have two pistils. Definitely remove them and from now on constantly check with a magnifying glass. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that you don’t miss any. I’ll have to see if I can find some more image material for it, then I’ll post it here.

here you can see two male flowers in different forms
Thanks to you too @herr_gruen
I’ll have to put in a shift searching then ![]()
Unfortunately, the Americans and Australians say the same. ![]()
If in doubt, I’ll put them on the balcony ![]()
Should be enough now to let them keep blooming, right?
Should a few seeds still be found after the harvest, I would recommend disposing of them as these will only develop hermaphrodite plants.
Yeah, thanks.
I had that on my radar by now. ![]()
I’m also following the other topics. ![]()
Hey my stinky finger punker. ![]()
Just a little morning joke!
Your hermaphrodite problem concerns me.
When the light is off, check if anything is still glowing, even minimally, for a while, like some LEDs still lighting up. This happens if the timer switch is plugged in with reversed polarity.
If so, it needs to be unplugged, turned around, and plugged back in. What was on minus, now on plus.
That would be one thing.
The other.
When growing, I always print out the growth protocol of the strain and read through it.
Because there are plants that don’t tolerate Scrog, extensive pruning, or even defoliation. For some, the stress would then be so great that hermaphroditism occurs.
Always look for beginner-friendly plants that can tolerate a lot of stress.
We want something like this to happen only rarely. I hope you don’t overlook anything and can still get the best out of it. Have a nice day. Greetings, Paule
Hello dear Growlings ![]()
,
So my esteemed @herr_gruen, ![]()
Well… that’s not entirely correct either. Since I’m not only active here but also “schnesen” (look & read) in various other forums. There are many questions and even more answers on this topic. If you filter through all the half-baked knowledge and the would-be “Meistergrowlins” based on your own experience and knowledge, you will definitely not come to a clear conclusion!
Because various factors play a role…
- Does the plant already have a genetic tendency to hermie,
- Are they autos or photos,
- how you grow the plants from these seeds
Just to name a few. I myself have already grown plants from hermie seeds that did not hermie.
Now comes the big BUT!
There’s no guarantee you’ll be so lucky. The effort to keep them balanced so they don’t hermie is definitely higher than with normal ladies. Anyone who doesn’t have enough patience and expertise should rather refrain from it. That’s my recommendation. New seeds don’t cost the world. And new clones cost you almost nothing.
So dear @KilliczGe, the decision is now yours.
“Trial and Error” or rather “the safe way home”
In this spirit

That’s exactly why I like this community so much.
So, they are photos.
I have now thoroughly searched everything and carefully picked out a few suspicious formations outside the tent.

With some, I dared to open the “bommel” (buds), and there were also white pistils inside. Well, better safe than sorry ![]()
Of course, I also searched the other three. Except for a small “bommel” that could also be a young pre-flower on the Cereal Milk, everything else is fine.
I checked the afterglow thing right at the beginning when I got the light. Because the first time I plugged it into the socket, it turned on by itself, so to speak. I checked this with the timer switch. No more current flows into it, so no glowing ![]()
The defoliation could be that, or genetic. It doesn’t matter anyway.
I respect that the plant wants to survive ![]()

I’m keeping my fingers crossed too.
It’ll be fine. ![]()
Meanwhile, the experiments are on the balcony ![]()
Scheduled for July 26.
Two cars.
Let’s see what the ruderal genes can do ![]()

A nice picture, I see you!
Mmh, I think if there were white stigmas in there, they were female pre-flowers. But then there’s almost no chance of clearly recognizing anything.
So, I had a long day today.
An old colleague from here, we spent some time together today, had food, a few beers, a little joint. It was great.
But now I’m glad to lie down, and the predatory mites, which arrived today, also stayed put. I’ll release them tomorrow morning.
I’m ending the day today with two pictures from today, and it’s now growing up from the Scrog, second week of flowering.
I hope the height after the stretch remains compatible with the lamp.

Have fun growing, and now, for a good night, wishes Paule at this late hour.
