Yeah, the other day I watched a video from some well-known [breeders/experts], and it was exactly about this mass production, which brings with it very unstable genetics.

Only autoflowers and few strains.
Probably because they are stable.
It takes years and costs a lot of money to create stable genetics.
That also costs the customer significantly more.
Many others release tons of strains for little money, and many are from one or two crosses and quite unstable.
That causes the problems.
Itâs like a lottery then.
Every fourth or fifth seed hermies or doesnât even sprout.
I put the third and last seed of the K. ASIA into the Living Soil pot 6 days ago, where the Cookies OG clone had cultivated.
On day 3, it was 1.5 cm out, and now, after another 3 seedling days, itâs 5 cm.
The pot is now alone in the small tent. Iâm still thinking about putting it outside.
I would then have a good 3 weeks of August until flowering begins.
Just need to check how much longer the 2 autos need.
Because I donât want the last seed of this kind to ruin anything else for me.
It wasnât even topped.
Lollipopped then on day 20.
The stress alone wasnât the problem, but then, on top of that stress, came this days-long extreme heat.
Even my dog and I were in shock.
Today I did the last check before tomorrowâs harvest and 
, itâs back. Like last year, one plant had a visit from bud rot. Luckily only at the
The structure is too dense, the warmth and a bit too humid, you can be glad itâs so little.
I once had an 80 gr (fresh weight) bud with the fuzz.
I can recommend Purolyt and spray it here and there. Diluted. That gives mold no chance, even if the RH is a bit higher.
I already have 1 l in the fridge. Only currently I have around 50 % RH.
Thatâs already a good range.
With thick buds, you can add another 10 % to the RH and then you have the level of moisture in the bud.
Man, Iâm still looking for a bed with 50 x 50 x 33.
So that it fits nicely into the small tent. There should be 20 cm space all around the bottom for air circulation and it shouldnât be higher because of the space upwards.
It only has 180 cm height.
Letâs see. Maybe a 90 l concrete tub.
But I would prefer the breathable one.
The last K. Asia seed is 7 days old today. Day 4 seedling and it is 5.5 cm.
Iâm already hitting it with 192.3 PPFD. The DLI is already 12.46 now that Iâve set it to 18 hours of light.
At 30 % dimmer and 55 cm light distance. The sensor shows a soil moisture saturation of 51 %. Still from the resting phase of the soil. Iâll let that drop to around 35 % before watering it.
So far it looks relaxed and itâs too early for anything.
Iâll probably leave it alone in the small tent and soon bend it 90 degrees over the soil. But that will take a while. Because of the height of the tent, I have to keep it low longer and fill the Scrog later.
And hope it doesnât get brutally hot again.
I want to know if the last of its kind also hermies.
Measured the 2nd Amnesia Skittlez Auto today. Approx. 2nd flowering week and still stretching. Itâs almost as tall in the 9 l pot as the first one in the 20 l pot.
Iâm assuming flowering day 8. It is 55 cm tall today.
The second Wedding Cake is probably first flowering week. I think day 3.
It is 45.5 cm today and still has some stretch time in the 9 l pot.
I donât even water much. Nevertheless, here and there a leaf tip rolls downwards. But not many. Otherwise, both have a beautiful healthy green. No deficiencies and the leaf stems are also a nice green.
Their soil moisture is now at 42 % and thus in a good range.
Letâs see how it looks tomorrow, then there will be a few sprays of water on the soil.
On Tuesday, a Bio Bizz soup is planned, and Iâll feed both according to the schedule for the 2nd flowering week. No desire to make two mixtures.
The first Wedding Cake is still standing. Itâs still 2 days of Cure Mode, and then the first A.S. goes into the jar and it then into drying.
The 4x4 cm rock wool blocks are here and now Iâm waiting for the 6 x 15 l fabric pots. Then I will germinate in the X Stream in the wool, which will then be buried in soil with the seedling.

the tripicanas posion f1 recovered completely at the same time and already have similar vigor and rhythms.
the picchu has notably improved at first glance, Iâd say itâs slowly recovering; temperatures are between 30ÂșC and 36ÂșC. I think I canât ask for more health than they have. Additionally, the picchu is the only one currently showing heat stress with canoe leaves. I imagine that genetically it doesnât tolerate extreme heat well, or rather, it doesnât handle it as well as the rest.

Small update from my private forest, the world is upside down
The Wedding Cake is 33 days from germination today and I estimate her to be on flowering day 5.
Yesterday I sprayed them with Leaf Coat, itâs supposed to form a protective film and somewhat protect against infestation.
Thereâs not much from the seedling K. Asia 2 aunt.
Yesterday I gave it 100 ml of water around it, increased the light to about 172 PPFD, it seems to be stagnating in height.
Thatâs good, then there will be no stretching. Tomorrow seedling day 7 ends, and the lamp will come a bit closer so it has a good 200 PPFD for the 2nd seedling week.

Despite bananas, a hermie K. Asia, I canât bring myself to end the grow.
I still hope that not everything has been pollinated.
And so it continues.
Left side, the LED lowered a bit to 30 cm distance from the highest bud on that side.
Since it has cooled down significantly outside. This is reflected in the tent.
So I increased the dimmer on the left side from 70% to 76%.
On the right with the K. Asia, Iâd rather stay at 70% and donât want to stress it further with too much light.
Apparently, there were no new bananas.
Day 39 of flowering, they are in their sixth week of flowering today.
In two or three weeks, the K. Asia could be finished. So far, wherever Iâve looked, I donât see any seeds forming anywhere.
However, today a shoot with a thick bud was hanging quite crookedly on the K. Asia. And itâs the time when the buds continue to fatten up.
The first plant yoyo was used and the bud is standing tall again.
The Mexican Sativa!
If you look at it from above.
You might think that not much is coming.
But appearances are deceiving. And the lady has only just slightly passed half of her flowering time.
She still has 4 - 5 weeks until the end.
As I said, perfectly normal!
Moving the lamp closer above her and providing a bit more light, I then got a side view, and from there you have a better overview.
I hope and send a prayer to the cannabis god every evening.
That not everything has been fertilized.

With the Sour Diesel, I clearly notice that her water requirement has decreased by a good 40% by now.
Nevertheless, she slurps up 2 - 2.5 liters of water every day.

Yesterday I took the Amnesia S. 1 out of the Cannatrol because Dry & Cure mode was finished.
A whopping 13.7 gr. of dried buds.
The worst grow, that was it! Iâve never had such thin plants. But the smell is already strong and gave me a really nice pleasant high this morning, and that was just some sugar leaf.
The Torti doesnât look like much more either. The expensive Dope Lite was a total failure. But I have to say that I underestimated the water retention capacity here and thus kept it too wet from the start.
These are the top news from yours truly.
Iâm curious to see how the Bio Tab line performs.
That will probably be the next one because I already have the suitable soil for it. Plagron Bio Light Mix and Cocos Prix from Plagron.
I just donât know yet whether Iâll go for the 6 x 15 l pots or 4 x 20 l Auto Pots and 2 x 15 l pots.
But everything without a net so that in case of an emergency it can be removed if one hermies.
Nothing will be topped either.

My planning for how Iâll design the soil mix for the next run is slowly progressing.
Activated biochar as a habitat for fungi and microorganisms should be included this time.
The new pots should also arrive today.
As it seems for now, it was absolutely the right decision to let the grow with the hermaphrodite continue.
After days of removing bananas. Wiping damp.
I havenât noticed any more for some time now.
Now in the 6th week of flowering and a good 2 weeks after the hermaphrodite event.
I took a closer look at the flowers.
From pictures of recent days and also in the here and now.
After some research, Iâve come to the conclusion;
Regarding the hermaphrodite action of the Kalini Asia, from the third week of flowering, I re-examined the flower pictures from recent days and now almost two to three weeks after the hermaphrodite event.
At first glance, the Kalini Asia does not appear to be broadly pollinated, and my fear regarding resin formation, that it might have stopped, cannot be confirmed â the pictures actually show a very healthy, dense coverage of fresh trichomes.
Signs of pollination!
What can be seen in the pictures from past days.
Stigmas / Hairs (Pistil Discoloration):
With successful pollination, the pistils usually wilt extremely quickly (within 24â48 hours), curl up, and brown from the tip. My close-ups show some orange/brown hairs (which is completely normal at this flowering stage), but many fresh, white, and upright hairs continue to emerge. This clearly argues against complete pollination of the bud.
Calyx Swelling (Calyx):
The calyxes look like normal flower development and do not appear unusually plump or hard and swollen, as would be the case with seed formation.
What about resin formation?
The images show a strong, glittering trichome coverage extending far into the sugar leaves.
If a plant is fully pollinated, it largely ceases the production of new trichomes to fully invest energy into seed maturation.
Here, however, resin development is in full swing and looks very active.
Conclusion:
Even if individual pollen sacs were open and isolated calyxes might have been pollinated, the bud is far from being âfully pollinatedâ. The plant continues to produce abundant resin and new flower mass!
The Sour Diesel at the front continues to show many new bright pistils.
This also argues against pollination here.
With the Mexican Sativa, it looks even more like an all-clear than with the Kalini! If any pollen at all flew in the tent, it seems to have largely bypassed it so far.
- What the pictures show
Nearly 100% fresh, white pistils:
The close-up from yesterday shows a beautiful, dense sea of radiant hot/white hairs. Not a single bud area shows this typical, widespread âshrinkingâ and sudden browning that happens after pollination within 24â48 hours.
Typical Sativa grow:
The flower structure appears airy, fluffy, and is extremely actively pushing new flower mass.
Vibrant green Calyxes:
The calyxes beneath the hairs are slender and smooth. There are no signs of plump, swollen seed cavities.
Why Mexican Sativa often remains spared or reacts well
Flowering Time Offset:
Sativa-dominant strains often have a slightly different flowering stage than Indicas. If the pollen sacs of the Kalini Asia opened at a time when the Mexican still had very young or poorly developed flowers, often the mature stigmas are simply lacking to absorb large amounts of pollen.
Airflow:
Depending on how the circulation fans in the tent were directed, pollen often blows in a very specific direction.
Conclusion;
The Mexican Sativa looks perfectly on track for flowering. The plant is currently wasting zero energy on seed production, but instead investing everything into the steady growth of its headbuds.
Perhaps it was the right thing, days of removing the bananas, damp wiping the floor, and letting the grow continue.
Now that the buds are increasing more and more, the humidity is around 47 - 50%.
The Sour Diesel already has a really awesome scent.
Already a bit gassy.
It would be great if the work wasnât for nothing.
Now Paule and Gizmo have to get started.
Oh yes, even if the Amnesia Skittlez Auto was an extremely sparse harvest.

And another day comes to an end, and today I had a little job of a special kind. I wanted to go to the cemetery to see my buddy anyway, light a candle and pause for a moment. Also clean my grandmaâs gravestone.
I met my buddyâs mom, and so it happened because everything was on the way.
I drove her home after some chat time and a coffee.
It then happened that I put the small gravestone in the car to lay it down already clean.
First, I had to extract the simple wooden cross from the earth and level the mini mound. After everything else had been cleared aside.
Yeah, then you couldnât see anything but dry clay.
Something has happened now. And new candles with it.
I also brought an LED candle for a new battery, and next, there will be some stones around it. I will put a wooden frame there and fill the rest inside with white gravel.
After cleaning Grandmaâs gravestone, it was time to leave again.
When I got home, I found a package with the 6 fabric pots.
4 free seeds included. One Wedding Cake Feminized and awesome, 3 Critical Photoperiod.
Iâve already noted down how Iâll mix the next soil and how much.
This time, activated biochar will also be included. As a hotel for fungi and microorganisms. Then let it rest and later with Bio Tabs.
There are a few things to consider, like moistening the biochar before it goes into the soil so that the biochar doesnât draw moisture from the soil.
I have also selected 6 seeds. But Iâm starting with the oldest and opened packs to clear them out from the back.
One Bubble Gum Gelato! The last of 3. Two didnât germinate.
2 Mexican Sativa, 2 Jamaican Pearl. There was an Easter special, and instead of 3, there were 4 seeds per pack. I want to empty those now. And the one Strawberry Kush, and then everything thatâs opened will be gone.
Since I germinate in rock wool in the X Stream, I quickly see if something doesnât germinate and then have the opportunity to quickly add something else without losing much time.
Iâm taking extra long lead time to reread everything thoroughly so that it runs smoothly. Especially concerning the soil mix.
Here, there should also be enough lead time for the soil to settle in.
After the X Stream, it goes directly into the final pots, but I dig the hole deeper and wider to simply add a Light Mix around the rock wool cubes for a gentle transition for the young roots.
Also, the rock wool must then completely sink into the soil to prevent drying out from above.
The tabs will also only go into the soil once the plants are in, so they arenât already dissolved when the plants arrive.
As one can read, it is not difficult to discern.
I want to give my best.
Oh, and then there was a flyer in the package.
Arenât those pots awesome? But - it gets even more awesome. The flyer, last picture on the right!
1.8 kg/mÂČ. That leaves me speechless.
I scanned the QR code. Itâs about the F1 hybrids like the Medusa, for example, and I have three seeds of those.

Sheâs also showing more and more autumn colors. Leaves are turning yellow, and a purple hue emerges within them. The buds should also slowly start to purple now. The Mexican still has a few more days ahead of her. About 9 to 10 weeks are stated. So, there are easily three to four more weeks left here.

The Kalini Asia alone in the small tent, in 18l Dope Soil, second run of the soil.
Today started its second seedling week. Right on time, the lamp was lowered slightly to a distance of 51 cm with the dimmer set to 30%. I measured a solid 201.0 PPFD. Sheâs not shooting up as quickly anymore, and I think sheâs not stretching, as she now has enough light for the time being. Letâs see how she develops in the second week now.
The Sour Diesel received 2.5 l again today with 20 ml of Nettle Ferment and 10 ml of Molasses/Rennet Ferment.
She still slurps away a stately 2-2.5 l per day. She then goes into night rest at noon with 48/50% soil moisture, and when I check in the morning, sheâs already at 34/37% soil moisture again. Thatâs how it goes with her, hardcore every day.
The other two are supplied by the Auto Pot, and I also take the water for the Diesel from the tank, which I have to refill every three or four days with 17 to 20 liters. However, I took the Mexican off the flow separately today because Iâm seeing a permanent rise in soil moisture on the sensor.
Iâm letting that drop below 50 now, and then sheâll get water again. Simply to avoid overly wet soil.

So, dear fellow growers.
Just like every day, the Sour Diesel received its hand watering of 2.5 liters early in the morning, as it has for the past few days. The sensor reading is at 36%, as it is every morning and every day. Just now, the sensor was back at 49% as it went into its nightâs rest.
This clearly shows that the soil moisture, in particular, always moves in a balanced ratio where soil life can only feel comfortable.
Today, during the Sour Diesel watering, I took the time to take a few pictures and examine everything more closely here and there.
Even if some fertilization might have occurred here and there due to the Kalini Asia herming out, it still looks very much like there was ânoâ widespread pollination. Especially in the upper area with the thicker buds, they still show bright, fresh, upward-pointing flower hairs/pistils.
The diligent, continuous removal of the male flowers (âbananasâ) over days and damp wiping of the tent floor to remove any pollen, and not having ended the grow, is now being rewarded with a wonderful variety of colors.
To my taste, the Kalini Asia looks absolutely awesome, and she is now fully in her autumn phase. Especially in Living Soil, it is desirable for the leaves to already be breaking down chlorophyll, which makes the smoke nice and smooth in the end.
With the yellowing of the leaves, it beautifully shows that she is now depleting all her foliage to bring everything from the nutrient depot into the flower.
And so, in the last one to two weeks, she bestows all her color variety, which one can only enjoy.
Despite the hermaphrodite occurrence, the lady still seems brutally potent.
Tomorrow the 7th flowering week begins, and I expect that even on the flower itself, there can still be a beautiful play of colors.
Another nasty heatwave with over 40 degrees is supposedly on the way.
I hope that by the time it gets here, she will be finished so she doesnât herm out again.
I think the Big Boy fan on the front left kept the damn pollen nicely away from the rest. And since the bananas appeared in the middle area, there was hardly anything left below that could have attached.
Because actually, the absolute right thing to do is to remove a hermie directly to protect other plants from pollination.
If I had pulled her out of the farthest corner, pulled her out of the net.
I would probably have spread the pollen properly.
Even if it turns out in the end that maybe 1/3 or half was pollinated.
A good amount of buds will still remain for smoking pleasure that probably wasnât pollinated.
That would be great luck in misfortune!
Day 84 Kalini Asia, Flowering Day 42, at the end of the 6th Flowering Week.
You can still see many new bright pistils. Nice dense buds, and the trichome coating is already visible without strong zooming in.
And the best for last, these beautiful colors.
Isnât that awesome? And 2 weeks ago, I was about to tear everything down.
Maybe letting it finish is worth it after all!
Iâm curious how she will develop further in the 7th Flowering Week.
In any case, she is now in the final phase. Stated with 7/8 flowering weeks, she is now approaching her end with each passing day, and when that comes, I can move the lamp on the right a good bit closer to the other buds that still need to ripen further. The other two will have a good 2-3 weeks longer on average.
It plays perfectly into my hands that I can then bring each one, gradually, to drying. This way, thereâs no overloading of the Cannatrol.
The Mexican Sativa Day 92, Flowering Day 42 at the end of the 6th Flowering Week 
One spear after another, and she diligently continues to build flower structure.
Since the 7th Flowering Week only starts tomorrow, she still has a good 4 weeks for sure, plus or minus a few days. Thereâs still potential.
Even the first one had really fat nugs, dense and hard. And the taste was so awesome.
Now in the dark phase, they are at 23.7 degrees and a humidity of 47%.
I think Iâll lower the RH by another 1 or 2% right away.
The Sour Diesel, Day 92, Flowering Day 42 at the end of the 6th Flowering Week!
Here you can see in the last picture that the bud at the edge is closest, under the lamp, which I had dimmed up to 76% and moved a few cm closer in the past few days.
That was probably a bit too much light for her at that spot, and the leaves are lightening up a bit, while underneath it still looks lush green.
Tomorrow morning Iâll lower the dimmer by 5%. Then that should be fine again.
With 11 weeks of stated flowering time, she still has a good 5 weeks left.
The scent is already gassy and deliciously pungent.
A real bottomless pit, this strain. At the end of vegetative growth and the first 3 flowering stretch weeks, she needed 3.5 to 4 liters of water daily. In a 25-liter pot that is filled with a maximum of 20 liters. Meanwhile, 2 to 2.5 liters of water daily, and she still soaks it up.
So, thatâs what it looks like on Flowering Day 42, the last day of the 6th Flowering Week for me.
And now itâs time to smoke one. And to open the package because the Root Disc and Root Socks for the Auto Pot Flex pots arrived. So everything is now all set for a restart soon - in a few weeks.

It just looks absolutely amazing in your tent again. Glad you got the herming under control without having to incur major losses. You probably noticed it in time to prevent worse. Crossing my fingers that itâs only a few seeds in the end and the quality remains high.

Perhaps a small botanical knowledge gap? The Titan Arum. It blooms at long intervals, and when it blooms, it smells like decaying carrion.
It also gets quite large and likes a tropically humid climate.
