I think the hermaphroditism of the Kalini Asia was not a matter of unstable genetics.
It was probably more the heat stress during the severe heatwave.
And the very early detection and diligent removal of the “nanners” over days saved me from a huge catastrophe.
If at all, it has pollinated a few mini ones in the lower area. Even further down there are naked stems.
Above, it’s thriving magnificently, and the buds are far from being fully pollinated.
Since the temperatures are between 21 and 27 degrees. Night/Day.
No more “nanners” have appeared either.
Now it is unfolding its full potential.
I noticed today!
On Monday, I had lowered the left light a bit, and a tall bud of the Sour Diesel in the front left. It’s now 30 cm under the light. I had increased the dimmer by 6% to 76% for that.
And suddenly, since then, the upper leaves around this bud have become lighter.
Below it, everything is nicely green.
I’m probably pushing it a bit too hard now because I’m seeing the beginning of light stress there.
Since it’s night starting at 3 PM and there’s no power to the lights, I have to wait until they turn on again and then I need to set the left dimmer back down to 70%.
The Sour Diesel still has 4 to 5 weeks, and it should ripen stress-free.
For her and the Mexican, it’s now entering the phase where the buds really start to bulk up again.
I believe I still need some plant yoyos. They are awesome.

Milky Way F1 has germinated, it was a bit deep, I helped it. It should be coming up now.
Medusa F1 unfortunately returned to the earth dead. No seedling, no root, almost black in color.
Oh well.
Quickly put a replacement in a cloth.

Hey everyone, and damn it all. There was a lot to read again today. The tank ran empty, so it was cleaned along with the pump, and again 31 liters of water flowed into the tank, softened with some osmosis water. It continues with a PPM of 268 and an EC of 0.53. A good 6 drops of Hesi Super Vit were added, the pump is running again and mixing everything through. The tap opens again very early tomorrow.
The two autos on the balcony received the last 3 liters from the tank today.
Nice, the Amnesia Skittlez in the 9-liter pot proudly reached 64 cm in height today. The Wedding Cake is at 59 cm and probably somewhere in the 2nd week of flowering. I believe I already reported that some of its leaf tips are curling downwards, which made me think of overwatering.
Today, however, its soil moisture was down to 28%, which is quite dry.
Still these tips. In some places even like eagle claws.
So, not overwatering!
With nitrogen excess, it also likes to form eagle claws.
But it has a nice green color and isn’t too dark at all. The oldest leaves at the bottom are lightening up a bit, which rather indicates a deficiency, and then the epiphany hit.
The good one gets direct sun from morning until noon. Although it’s a gentle 23.9 degrees in the shade on the balcony, it gets a bit too warm for it directly in the sun. Additionally, a humidity of 44% pushes the VPD up.
So, it simply protects itself a little. Furthermore, it was too dry at its base.
But now it continues merrily with fresh Bölk Stoff (nutrients).
Out in the open, your hands are tied, and you have to take the weather as it comes.
In the morning, the Sour Diesel was also due again and received its 2.7 liters of water today again – as every day.
I couldn’t help but take a closer look at the Kalini Asia again, especially. It’s brutal what’s happening there now.
I thought a few days ago it might be foxtailing, but it turned out to be phenomenal, awesome calyx stacking instead.
This is what’s happening:
The calyxes stack extremely symmetrically, compactly, and close together. This gives the bud enormous density, mass, and structure. This is exactly what happens when the plant wants to gain significant girth again during the transition to late flowering.
It’s piling up fat and dense.
Yeah, and then overnight, and I think I announced it recently. The purpling is now happening right in the flower, just in time for the start of the 7th week of flowering. I have the feeling it’s changing its appearance hourly now.
The Kalini Asia is really putting on an absolute finale at the start of week 7!
The fact that it’s now rapidly changing its colors and no longer pushing out male flowers clearly shows how well the milder climate and my adjustments are doing it.

Pure Trichome Carpet
The resin coverage is so dense that the flowers almost look like they’ve been rolled in powdered sugar. You can beautifully see the stalked trichomes with their thickly swollen heads.
Incredible Color Gradients
The interplay of the deep purple calyxes, the rich purple on the edges of the sugar leaves, and the vibrant orange-brown hairs looks absolutely breathtaking.
Dreamy Canopy Overall Impression
The overall view perfectly shows the graded contrast in my tent:
While in the background and on the sides, the beautiful, colorful “autumn fade” with yellow-red tones takes hold, the frosty, dark flower heads stretch upwards everywhere.
Final Sprint Feeling
The plant is visually giving me the maximum “reward” for all the meticulous work and care of the past weeks. You can see its pure health and genetic unfolding.
I enjoy the sight during my daily look into the tent – a cannabis plant in late flowering couldn’t look much more beautiful!
Hey @herr_gruen, I think – with the quality and quantity of frost, nothing is lost there. In hindsight, I’m glad to have finished a hermaphrodite this time. This wonderfully beautiful autumn fade - incredible!
The heatwave was probably the main culprit. Now a new heatwave is approaching.
But ripening is progressing quickly. Today the 7th week of flowering started out of 7/8.
It’s almost in the harvest window. It should be ready by the time the heat is back.
To finish it and put it to dry.
It looks like this, with all its detours, was a very challenging grow with an awesome finish.
I need to wrap this up. My homemade pizza wants to be devoured.
On the Mexican today, countless new light pistils appeared.
It’s also getting more and more beautiful!
Today, still gently dimmed down to 71% on both dimmers now.
The other two still have a good three to five weeks until the end, and I’m curious about their changes. The Sour Diesel is also starting to turn purple now.

And I was very close to ending the run. The shock was deep at first. But I also have to say that it’s not the norm to leave hermaphrodites in. On the other hand! Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Cool, and the Wedding Cake Auto on the balcony also looks much better today after yesterday’s watering. I’m definitely not letting the soil dry out as much here anymore. The problem is simply the low RH.
And since I’m already in it, today I’m dedicating the day only to the Kalini Asia 2! Alone in the 90 x 90 and already in the final pot, 18 l Dope Soil. At its core, a delicate 2% mix Living Soil approx. 1.5 liters. Today she is 14 days since germination started. Seedling Day 11. Recently / for a few days, I’ve been illuminating her with 202.40 µmol/m²/s. 50 cm light distance and 30% dimmed. Today I’ll take new pictures to take a closer look to see if she’s showing light stress. But it seems to suit her, and so from about Day 15, it will be increased to 250 µmol/m²/s.
The seedling in the pictures looks extremely vital, healthy, and absolutely relaxed.
The leaf color shows a rich, strong green without any deficiencies or discolorations, and the surface of the leaves is perfectly matte – exactly as it should be.
Visual analysis of the seedling!
Perfect growth: The plant is not stretching. The distance between the cotyledons (bottom) and the first true serrated leaves is pleasantly short. This once again confirms in black and white that the measured ~202.40 PPFD is spot on.
Vigorous leaf structure: The fresh green in the center (the new leaf shoots) shows high cell activity. The leaves are slightly upward at a 45-degree angle (“it’s praying”), which is the surest sign of optimal photosynthesis and maximum vitality.
Protective layer: The straw layer (mulch) on the soil is excellently chosen for a Living Soil. It keeps the moisture evenly in the substrate and protects the soil life in the upper area from drying out.
Every 2 days, I give 125 - 150 ml of water generously spaced around the seedling. This constantly keeps the soil moisture at 50 - 52%.
She is now constantly rooting deeper into the remnants of the Cookies OG Klon 1.
It is still the quiet time and there is not much to do.
Topping is planned, and when the time comes, the side shoots will first be kept at the pot with LST to get dense branching later. Then they will be carefully laid out on the Scrog, because here width is the key. In height, it is unfortunately very restricted.
It remains interesting what the Dope Soil still has to offer, as a run has already gone through it, and I haven’t re-fertilized yet.
With some training, it will be a somewhat longer growth period, which will comfortably get me through the summer so that from flowering onwards, extreme temperatures cannot stress it.
I’m excited to see how she turns out and what she becomes. Until today, for these few days, it’s perfect.

the 4 regular Afghans, which have been in another grow tent in terrible conditions, are brutally resistant, truly worse than weeds.
one of them has a strange malformation and lack of pigmentation; with a x40 magnifying glass I managed to take close-up photos.
all of them are relatively well, considering that yesterday the thermal sensation was only 62ºC… that’s right, 62ºC, not ºF, and the temperature exceeded 35ºC… I won’t complain.
on the other hand, I can’t get a single clone right xD

Regarding that, I’m really glad that I can only fit Bonsai plants in my tent. A large one would fit too, but I like to have some variety in my medicine cabinet. I have to start with the one with the small, red-thread-marked flowers. I have a few seeds in there for my new breeding program. I don’t want to lose any, this time it’s only a small quantity.
