Hello everyone.
After the 3 autos germinated great in rockwool cubes, the day came when they went into soil, and here I failed miserably. 
Instead of developing super well, they miserably withered away. But there still seems to be life in them.
The Amnesia Skittlez Auto in the 3% living soil is doing best, but with a lot of lost time because it is stagnating.
For the 2 in BioTabs, I probably should have let the soil activate first. Meaning, just let it rest for 2ā3 weeks.
But according to the description, I stuck to 2/3 of the manufacturerās recommended amount and then planted the things. And they withered.
But now the soil is resting until next time soon.
I donāt know yet if Iāll give the A.S. in the living soil another chance, as it depends on when it finally gets going. Meanwhile, the cover crop is faster and growing like crazy, completely covering it.
Havenāt seen such a variety of cover crop with very healthy greens in a long time, though.
Out of the 6 seeds that were started for germination 5 days ago, 3 have broken through the soil today.
The Jamaican Pearl, Amnesia Skittlez Autoāthe last bean, woohoo!āand the Strawberry Kush was actually the first to show itself early in the morning.
I had 2 seeds of it, and the first one was very slow in growth, but grew like a fir tree. But during the flowering stretch, it caught up damn well.
So Iām curious to see how it develops now.
This time germinated directly in Light Mix, each in 0.7 L of soil, they will root in there and only move into final pots at the start of the vegetative phase.
Furthermore, Iām still waiting for the Mexican Sativa and Bubblegum Gelato, both of which popped open but are still in the soil. With the Bubblegum Gelato, Iāve had it happen twice already where it opened up and died. This is the last seed of it.
Weāll see. Thereās also a Tropical Kush that didnāt open up on day 5 either.
They were 2 free seeds with a Christmas order at the grow shop.
Thinking about briefly soaking the second seed of its kind in hydrogen peroxide and germinating it in a damp paper towel if the first one doesnāt work out, just to keep the total at 6.
Well, I must say! The last harvest of Amnesia Skittlez did produce somewhat airy buds, but significantly more dried yield than the first. Almost triple, and at around 50 g for an auto, OK.
The aroma, though, is crazy intense. Man, Iāll definitely have to taste some of that today.
The last Wedding Cake is also ready today for me to take it out of the Cannatrol, trim it a bit more, and then bag it in a Grove Bag.
Itās also about time to clear out the trim from the freezer to sift out some hash again.
So things are slowly making progress. Drying completed, and 3 out of 6 are born.
Itāll soon be heading into another round.
Have had the lights on since today, at a distance of 121 cm and the dimmers at 21%.
Measured, 111.5 PPFD is still coming through.
That will increase over time.
I took off the humidity dome so air can get to it and the soil can dry out a bit. Instead, I turned on the humidifier, which keeps RH at 70ā73%. The exhaust fan manages for now so it doesnāt go over 26 degrees at the start, and vents a bit at 74% RH to bring in fresh air.
Not much else to do for now anyway.
Yep - to be on the safe side, Iāll pull out the 2nd Tropical Kush seed, and if both end up sprouting, Iāll just have to fill another pot.

Oh yeah, sometimes itās like itās jinxed and the next little problem is already popping up. Discovered small larvae in the soil where it was supposed to germinate and I suspect fungus gnat larvae.
That makes germinating a problem, because they nibble the roots to pieces.
Where there isnāt much to begin with anyway.
Sometimes things just go wrong.
Ordered nematodes and predatory mites right away.
Hope they arrive quickly.
Yeah and the auto, they were free beans anyway and I had a bit too much of the A.S. strain anyway.
So finally other strains get a turn.
The second seed of the Tropical Kush is nestled in moist cotton wool, in a ziplock bag after floating on water with hydrogen peroxide for a while.
After a few hours it sank down saturated and now Iām waiting because the one in soil didnāt sprout.
And now Iām heading out with Gizmo right away and the first joint is always the best.

Hey @Pflanzenpaul! What a bummer about the fungus gnat larvae right during germination, theyāre a silent nightmare once they start chewing on the roots. But you nailed it by quickly ordering nematodes and predatory mitesāitās the best biological way to clear things up right at the root without messing around with weird chemicals.
Nice move starting the second batch of Tropical Kush using the hydrogen peroxide method in the Ziploc to soften up that shell and get things moving. This oneās definitely going to make it!

In a way, itās already the best way to tackle it directly with nematodes and predatory mites @BunkerAriel .
Only right at the beginning, when the soil is almost too damp, adding even more nematodes directly via the water leads to the seedlings rotting again.
Well, it just shows me once again that Plagron Light mix isnāt completely larva-free either.
But I have to blame myself here again.
Because you should do what you can!
Normally, I used to put the beans in 44 mm peat Jiffys after preparing them and always had a 100% germination rate.
Thatās why I ordered 50 new ones directly today.
Pressed and dry, there is no life in them.
Ideally, let them swell directly in pH 6.5 with root-booster stuff and then lightly squeeze them out so they weigh 35 g moist. It was always the best start.
Thatās how itāll go next time again.
Had to reschedule today again.
The Mexican bean, Bubble Gum Gelato, and the last Amnesia Skittlez Auto fell victim to the larva madness. And the soil was probably a bit too damp.
The Tropical Kush is still resting safely in the cotton wool.
Soaked the last Mexican bean and started a Wedding Cake and a Sherbet Queen.
There is still plenty of choice.
Hope the predatory mites arrive tomorrow. They will directly clear things up.
The one A.Skittlez in the living soil seems to be moving along now.
I took the 2 Autos out of the Bio Tabs soil today.
They were ruined.
But now add a bit more water, so the soil can develop properly for another 2 weeks.
Good things take time.
Now every day counts so I donāt end up with 5 different ones where each is a different age.
But crazy though. As soon as the soil is slightly damp, you see these white worm-like larvae.
Need to take a look with the magnifying glass and microscope.
I wanted to keep increasing the dimmer every three or four days, which isnāt possible now because some are still taking their time.
I think things will move forward now.
